XP Cap

I'm wondering why the devs put the xp cap over the allowed level, my toon has about 175k xp over lvl 25 but can't level up. Best part is I accidentally used a lesser heart when I went to TR, so now my toon is stuck on a life I don't really care for. I know it's my fault for not paying attention, but why did the devs put the xp cap over the allowed level in the first place?

I don't even know how my toon got 175k xp over the level anyway, I didn't run any quests this life.

Anyway mostly annoyed at myself, but I thought I would post this to see if the Dev's actually had a reason for the xp cap over lvl cap

Might not be the answer, but the dev's did say that this was from an internal server, not the normal lama-client code. So my guess is we got the code from a server where the max level was 28, and instead of removing the code, they just implemented a lock so that we can't level past 25. If so, then it was probably because they have to many things interacting with xp-code to just remove the code.

Ah, ok that makes sense, thanks for the answer. guess I'll just have to shelf that toon till they get rid of the level lock

the other lvls are epic levels and not regular. you have to get them through the fatespinner.
