Default Ranger: Tempest high tier stuff still ****

12 APs for a series of 6 second clickies with long cooldowns is useless garbage.

It really is, only one worth buying at all is the one for Improved Evasion and that's arguable. I'm sure I could find a better place to spend 12 AP in another tree.

Quick and dirty solution: Lower them to 1 AP each instead of two. 1000 cuts for 6 seconds every minute MIGHT be worth 6 AP, it sure as hell ain't worth 12.

Better solution: Redesign entirely, but there probably isn't time for that so go with the quick and dirty.

Tier 5 Tempest abilities have too long of a cooldown, and 6 AP is not reasonable for the duration.

    Agreed 100%
At the end of the day, building a half decent Tempest (for me), resulted in 2 hotbars of clickies in total, including of course my usual fare of trip/sund, boosts, etc., where before the pass I had 9 slots on one bar for clicks (and curse pots in slot 10 )

When we did the "Clicky Survey" last year(?) I did say I don't mind a bit more clicky, provided it's meaningful and manageable. What we have here is pure nonsense. 75% of it makes MUCH more sense as stacking passives (like Archers Focus). Having to manage a dozen clicky timers and cooldowns, for low-middling dps boosts is NOT fun, NOT worth it.

Please please please for the love of all that's holy, rethink these clickies. Longer durations and shorter cooldowns are a must AT A MINIMUM, best case - convert ALL the stackables to passive-stacking.

I can't understand your ostility versus clickable enhancements.
I played World of Worcraft for years (I KNOW, they're different). In WoW you've plenty of spells even if you're a fighter, and have to manage at least 20 spells and CDs. When I first came to DDO I felt bored, nothing to click, just autoattack.
I think that this change from passive to active is positive, now you have a way to demonstrate your skill.
I know, I'll be overwhelmed by insults, but this is my opinion. Convince me I'm wrong.

Clickies remove immersion, passive with a few tactical clicks keep you in the action. The more you click, the less you actually look at the action, but concentrate on your hotbar.

That's bad; that transform your real action playing into one of timing. Please reduce the clicky clutter - make each clicky mean something - something good. Adding tons just for small bonuses with longer cool down is a terrible way of finding a good synergy in a class.

Ideally really good clickies should be rare and 20 seconds, good defense offensive ones a minute and everything else passive. Clickies should be tactical benefits and choices building up to something rare and good - when they're low yield and plentiful you feel disconnected form your action.

Is this still over-priced garbage or has it changed?
