For a long time a lot of the skills were/are pretty well pointless. Need a high Jump, Swim, or tumble, there are spells for that, heal/repair only work at shrines. Unless you are a Bard, use rogue skills, or are a tank most skills are pretty useless, except UMD, and Int is a near universal dump stat, right next to Cha. Thus Turbine makes the skills have a purpose, but what about having to put points into Int!?! Well the Epic TR mentions adding 2 more build points, so drop those in Int to gain that one extra point. Some of the "uber builds" are so delicately balanced that any switch makes them "useless". The alpha pass had issues, the beta "might" fix some of these. Currently you can spend 10 AP for 40 spell power points, on Lam you can spend 30 points to get 30 spell power points AND other abilities. If those abilities do nothing for you then you can get an easy 23 spell power points and spend 0 AP.

Post again when you have a point. You are just plain wrong.

With maxxed heal you're still about 50 devotion shy of where we are on live.

Seriously, people who don't understand the game mechanics should post, they should be working for Turbine!

Try again. Currently you get 80 devotion for 10 AP, not 40.

This appears to be a redundant thread but I'll sign this one too.

Of all things to nerf, why positive spell power for rangers? There isn't much reason to play a pure level 20 ranger as it is so there is no need to take away one of the few things they have going for them - self healing.

Yes add devotion lines back to these classes, like others have said this is a huge nerf.

Some dev saw that there were a bunch of ranger splashs and thought it was for spwr and self healing and thought it would be a good idea to nerf them. It's another case of the dev's not knowing what is actually done in their game.
