    Default Pale master or archmage?

Im LRing from a rogue to a wizard, and don't know a lot about wizards. I could be a 2rouge/9 wizard or pure 11 Wizard.

Soloability is nice, but ill have owl bear+ healer merc if needed.

    32 point human.

Will be TRing at 20 probably, unless the class is awesome.

Conjuration Archmage with Evocation secondary is the easiest, fastest life you'll ever have. You could even go crazy and do Evocation Archmage with Conjuration secondary.

No spell pen to waste on items or enhancements, just run, web, kill.

It won't let me edit my post but wanted to add: Warforged Conjuration/Evocation Archmage, in case that wasn't assumed.

Gah, I see now it says LR not TR, and human only. Meh. I guess PM would do ok then. I can't imagine a non-WF Archmage.

If fleshy, go Pale Master. If toaster, go for Enchant Archmage. Either way, PM isn't worth it until you hit Wiz11 (Spell Level 6, Circle of Death, Finger of Death) or Wiz12 (Wraith Form). If you plan to go PM, select your level up spells and feats as if you were a PM, but play an Enchant/Necro AM. Also keep in mind that Pale Master is not an excuse for lack of CC ability. If your Pale Master has the option to increase Necromancy or Enchantment DCs, choose Enchantment, as long as you can still qualify for Liche Form.

Taking 2 Rogue is a lot more expensive gear-wise, but worth it as long as you can afford it and took Insightful Reflexes.

The usual advice for fleshie wizards is to go Pale Master, as undead forms are a big boost to your survivability & self-(un)healability. If you want a rog-splashed PM, see the Pale Trapper.

Pure solo with a hjealbot, you can easily do a Fleshy AM. My first was a fleshy AM. You just use different tactics, aggro management, and carry lots of CSW pots.

Fleshy PM is actually pretty easy to run, and can be fairly good before lvl 12. Zombie form with Web and Fireball kills a LOTS of stuff. Plus, lwer-level quests tend to be chock-full of undead, so having high points in Necromancy makes using Control Undead a pretty handy spell to have, especially in boss fights. No CSW pots to carry around (except for emergency purposes), and Death Auras and a nice source of continual healing.

After 12, Wraith and Lich forms are real boons, though you start encountering light damage on a fairly regular basis.

Honestly, between the two - Fleshy AM and Fleshy PM - I have a hard time trying to figure out which is better.
