Both of which are examples, IMHO, of what should be fixed in the enhancement pass. My big one is that savants get .75 spell power per point spent, when it should be at least double that for the focus element. However, those are fixable, and by MajMal's reports, they likely are going to be fixed.
Given that the devs stated that everything on live should transfer to the enhancement pass, and if it wasn't currently in to bug report it, I'm thinking that things should look better in the next test run.
The impression I got from the Alpha test (and from the words of MajMal) are that the Alpha was intentionally flawed - a worst case horror story enhancement pass - because broken things get more feedback than working ones. The trees were real, some of the abilities were real, but the cost, the restrictions, the insanity was not. And, apparently, the cleric trees are no longer real, so hopefully that means FvS will get Divine Avenger instead of "Protection" as well. More importantly, a ground-up revision of the cleric trees shows that they are listening to feedback.
The second point is that, according to MajMal (again), the devs are fixing it. Whether it's fixed correctly is another story, but it means that the devs can work on it - the current enhancement system, by all accounts, was unworkable on the backend, had a habit of creating unintended effects, and was a general mess.
And the caster nerf...eh, I play casters, and I don't see a devastating hit to my overall damage, honestly. I'm not a powergamer or numbercruncher, though; I just noticed I still didn't die, and everything else did pretty quickly.
