Sound ok through headset but no voice

I have a usb headset that works fine for sound but I'm having problems with the voice. I'm on the Mac client. Under my system setting all of the options are selected for the usb headset and the mic and headset work fine. In DDO, most of the time I get no voice. I get sound perfectly fine. In the audio option, the sound playback selected is usb headset. The problem I have is that the 2 option at the bottom of the audio options which are for the voice are greyed out and will not let me choose an option. They are defaulted on built in sound. Some times after rebooting and plugging the headset in and out and relaunching ddo, it will let me select the headset, but not always. I haven't yet figured out what the cause is or solution. Its very frustrating to her all of the in game sounds but not be able to talk or hear anyone else. Anyone know any resolution?

I'm getting this exact same issue.. has this been resolved or does anyone have fix? I'm on the Mac Client, sound is coming thru but Voice Playback Device and Voice Capture Device are greyed out. Thx
