End game is now much, much smaller. TRing provides much less benefit than before. EDs are now where the bulk of the power lies, and given the AML caps on many item abilities, older epic gear is largely replacable by loot-gen. Older raid loot is also much less useful.

Too much work, for less and less relative gain ... and this hurts DDOs replay value.

See, these things are (to me) the great benefit to DDO - it has a great system and, until the freaking expansion, excellent replay value. Level cap raise and EDs essentially marginalized old raids, old epic gear and TRing by a great deal. It didn't make them completely pointless, but made them less useful to be sure.

EPIC ITEMS - Choose one of the following
=========================
(A) Greatly increase the drop-rate on these, but keep them specific to the item.
(B) Replace all stat 1/2/6/7 with a pre-primed colorless slot.

(A) has the benefit of being the easiest to make happen. (B) provides the most actual future use for the items (and then drives replay) - and this is the approach I think should be taken.

Older "end game" raids
=========================
You can actually make the old raid/related gear more "used" by simply dropping the ML ... 13s to 11, 18s to 16 and 20s to 18 - and do this for VoD, HoX minimally - possibly consider it for ToD as well. Possibly back-update older items, or possibly update only newly gained gear (and really, maybe case-by-case).

This makes them very useful to TRs, drives folks to the raids - EVEN IF just farming for loot.

Also, greatly increase the XP for HoX and VoD - double maybe. Consider allowing them to not break bravery streak. Possibly boost XP from Devil's Assault, ToD as well. Again, replay value.
