Me and some guild mates were talking and came up with this...

Add an option to the First Mate dialogue options to give the first mate platinum in order to automatically renew ship buffs when they were due to run out, this would be input only so no withdrawals allowed (not even by the guild leader). The first mate would also need to show how much platinum he had so as guild members can add more when needed. All guild members would be able to pay towards them of course
