Default My opinion of the new expansions..

I think it's a waste of TP and such a messed up idea, why would we have to pay for 2 things that already exist? It's just a WF and a Pally!!
Why wouldn't they instead make a Lv15 Veteran Status which will be only for Iconics, and make that a paid feature.
Instead they just give us a Race that already exists, a Class that already exists, mixes them together and making them less worth to get.
Also, who would want to get them while you can't TR them or into them, what are they, more than expensive mules?

I personally think this whole Iconic idea is stupid, and I wouldn't want to buy any of them, simply because it's not worth it.

While Turbine is trying to make the game more fun, it seems that in the same time, they're just trying to make more money and it just doesn't do it, why post the game as a free game, if you can't progress or really enjoy the game at all without.

I would like to keep playing this game, but I just hate all the expensive expansions and existing "new" ideas that will just add to the lagg in-game and will make you jealous of the people who paid from their own real pocket, to get stuff that you just can't.

    That is just my opinion.

    1. You get -10% slash damage (+ some prr on top of it)
    2. You get repair spell-line
    3. You get +1 saves from the aura
    4. I will want to. TR is just stupid and a bad game design. If I wanted restarts I'd play MU Online. I (and I'm sure I am not the only one) just DO NOT WANT TO GRIND LIKE AN IDIOT FOR AN ONLINE GAME. This feature is perfect for me (and probably a lot more) and I WILL GET IT and exclusively play with BF and nothing else (unless I want a barb or bard). Screw you guys and your elitism. TRing is not a must in order to play the game. I do find the lack of LR kind of bad but meh.

    1. before or after Prr & DR ? because that either makes it usefull or useless
    2. but no Repair spellpower and there is no repair amp gear
    3. big deal...
    4. TR is and should be an option and it has absolutely nothing to do with elitism. Every noob can TR and with greater tome of xp it doesnt even take long.
    5. As it is atm it is worthless, make some adjustments (repair Spellpower / repair amp gear / TR able) and it would be ok (still nothing awesome but at least not worthless

The first piece of repair amplification gear we've seen in game is given as part of the Bladeforged starter gear when you hit level 15. Hopefully there will be more coming.

I am unsure of the status of Bladeforged on Lamannia right now as there still are no release notes, but as of my last log on we still haven't seen the Bladeforged racial enhancement trees. How those turn out will be the deciding factor for many to make one or not.

yeah.. i agree.. this iconic hero thing should be free.. if they are not allowed to tr... basically no point playing them.. plus god knows what happen after the following patch they might not be viable at all at certain point.. then all you can do it delete your level 25 iconic hero character and reroll a level 7 normal toon..

p.s. for a pal repair is useless.. as your enhancement have nothing involve repair power.. nor can you stack your repair amp over 150%.. as a wf pal you can reach over 200% positive healing amp..

I might be tempted to pick them up if they were a new player skin...
Purely a cosmetic option that you can choose, like a new race.

These are made specially for new players that don't want to grind gear or figure out how to level up a good character to 15. People that just want to jump in and play. It's an attempt to newb-friendlyize the whole DDO character build thing and grab some quick cash from people anxious to just jump in and start killing stuff. (Or to be getting killed, as the case may be.)

Dev's, open them up to be TR or LR possible and you'll make even more $$.

My guess is that the code is so hairy in some spots, they don't want to muck around in it, so they made these, realized they couldn't or didn't want to fix things the right way, and said "Good enough! Ship it out!".

I disagree with you on this point. The TR concept is genius. Plus I and many other people like to TR.

And I'll thank you to refrain from calling us all elitist idiots. -1

In short TRing gives you a small bonus for grinding the same content over and over again. This is pretty much a forced replaying of a content instead of a .. free choice for a lack of better wording. If people liked the quests they would repeat them because of that - but right now people just storm thru the content simply because they rush for the TR. Everyone of course has an opinion and for me such a design is nowhere near "genius".

I wouldn't be so much against TRing if for example there were 20-30% more quests after you TR once - you know ... MORE gaming content not THE SAME gaming content grinded over and over again. You TR once - you get 2-3 new lines of quests. You TR a 2nd time and you unlock the full content of quests. Of course this brings the problem with people whining because they don't have access to the said extra content without TRing.

People pay for True Hearts. People replay the same content and pay for XP pots and tomes to help do it. It's more game for very little extra dev time. Which is marketing genius.

Plus it gives players more than one reason to play the game again. The past life is far from the only reason people TR: e.g. I really enjoy playing my favorite toons in new lives, and seeing how they perform with complicated builds or classic ones. I like the twink gear and I like running quests at speed while aiming for full bonuses, finding rares along the way, and smashing the hell out of the mobs in the process.

Other people will have other reasons, and all that comes whether or not you have new content: All the content you make can be played once per toon, or played more than once per toon. A game designer would surely pick the former.

Finally... If you don't like it, don't do it.
