While this bonus is appreciated, it mainly helps guilds that are already having no problem advancing. A 15% bonus for 3 days amounts to 45% of a day's renown over 3 days of playing.

For guilds that are staying in place due to decay, they lost 6 days of renown due to the decay from the 6 extra down times that occurred during a 2 week period.

Thjs means it would take 14 bonus weekends in a row just to make up for the 6 extra days of decay caused by the down time. It would take 3 bonus weekends just to make up for the ribbon alone.

So while the bonus days are appreciated, please fix the system. I would still like to understand why removing day is off the table when you've already effectively done that for large guilds.

I meant to say I don't understand why removing "DECAY" was off the table. I obviously am not expecting turbine to remove any days.

And I think the devs rock and are really doing great, except your decay system. All that is doing is costing you players over the long run. Whatever money you think you are making from the guild system is likely lost by the revenue lost from discourage players that left the game because their guild couldn't advance. Of course it's speculation, but just based on the people I know that left because of the guild system I feel decay is a losing proposition for Turbine.

I haven't seen anything but negative comments and problems come from decay. Turbine needs a new developer working on this.

Hmm, and here I was checking the Announcements summary on the page you are taken to when you frist hit the 'Forum' link. Good to know announcements like this are not listed on that page ... which doesn't appear to have changed since May 2nd.

This is borderline insulting to give such a meager guild renown bonus after

1) all the extra decay from the downtime not to mention less ability to play
2) the fact that people from our guild stopped logging in because of all your down time

Since you seem to think decay is such a critical thing, let me help you out with that. I'll help provide some decay to your player base and your revenue. I quit. If Turbine can't figure out how bad this decay system is after so many years I seriously doubt they can keep this game afloat in the long run. This is obvious to almost anyone except those people that want to make it hard for other guilds.

And when people stop playing neverwinter and come back they will see their guilds dropped levels. If anything is a de-moviator to return the game - logging into to see your guild dropping levels will certainly remind people how bad the guild system is here.

Despite the good things in the game, it's just not worth playing because of how you ruin guilds with your decay system. Not everyone cares about guilds, but to some people guilds are just as important as gear, past lifes, and other things about a character.
