I am having computer issues today that may mean I do not have my computer ready to go for tonight
Trying to work through them, but if I do not make it in time, good luck.

Sorry you couldn't make it; we missed you. Nacolito, Risarr, and I ran The Web of Chaos quests + Beyond the Rift (all on EH). Hope your computer heals quickly.

Halfling jokes aside, we were seriously short manned for questing last Monday night…and Bruggs wasn’t even there. Ba dum chhh. Nevertheless, Nacolito, Risarr, and Twizzix successfully ran The Web of Chaos story arc and Beyond the Rift on EH (all the fun you can have without using hallucinogens).
Of note:
· A group of three is still fun
· The new sound for chests is…different (Twizz is a fan of the plain ol’ creak)
· Risarr got a Silver Slinger
· Naco pulled a Doublecross Bow
Hope to have a full crew next week.
Side note:
If you’re undecided what to get with your Anniversary Token, and/or you're newer to the game, take a look at Gingerspyce’s 10th Anniversary Freebies Guide. He provides a lot of useful information about the offered items.
Also, there is a 10th Anniversary Loot thread here: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...niversary-Loot

You're most welcome, Livmo.
Gingerspyce is unabashedly biased towards the Quiver of Alacrity. People who TR and raid a lot may find this item particularly useful. Ultimately, everyone has to weigh out their own situation and choose the item that gives them the most value. Since this is a FREEBIE, even if you wish you had chosen a different item later on, you won't be any worse off than you are now. No repo man, no second mortgage. What I appreciated about the video was that 1) the items were discussed one by one, and 2) someone had taken the time to offer this up to the community.
Niiiice!
Voodu Spyce and Axel's DDO Channel have numerous videos that explore different topics concerning DDO Land.

As someone who has TR'd a fair amount, it is, IMO one of the most useless choices unless you are a hardcore x/min player. Even then there are so many striding items and expeditious retreat items now (and spells and enhancements) that its usefulness is practically nil - especially after 3rd level. And that's only if you think an extra 5% striding is even noticeable.
I suppose if someone grinds a heroic life a day without access to haste clickies or spells it might be slightly worthwhile, but I'd advise everyone in our group to avoid it like the plague and pick something from a raid that we won't run more than once (or ever).
Fair enough--it has to be something useful for you and your situation. My perma-death toon looks at a fleeting life and can use something with immediate payout, whereas my anchor character has multiple long lives to look forward to and needs to look at benefit over time.
Ginger has found his stride (wink, wink) in the Quiver of Alacrity, and that works well for him. I found the video had merit in offering insight into the items being offered, and that someone took the time to do a guide.
The video is fine. But I think he way WAY overvalues some things that non xp/min-TR/train players who have very few old raids under their belts (and will probably never solo/duo them). There are a LOT of other things that have the same effects as the quiver that are quite common and easy to get - the same criticism he has about other items.
Most of the rest of what he has to say is pretty good. Except the Kundark Boots. Meh.

Bruggs chose to go to The Kings Forest in Eveningstar since everyone was back for adventuring this week. The place is deceptively serene given its bucolic facade: lush forest, chirping birds, plump deer, gamboling fox…until something tries to kill you. And something always tries to kill you. In fact, we had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of one Veraxiena, a lovely dragon. Although Twizz tried to engage her in meaningful conversation, she had no interest in talking; she was only looking for dinner.
Twizz: Fine, take that you scaly old…dumb…drako. (Shaking her fist.)
Xerxax: Yeah, she looks scared alright. Way to intimidate her. Run!
Bruggs: Best to leave the talking to those graced with silver tongues.
Naco: Great—know anyone?
Well, she didn’t get her dinner, and everyone had to pull Twizz out from underneath the great beast because, as she died, Veraxiena fell directly on top of the paladin. When we looted her chest, an item there caught Naco’s eye:
Naco: Hey, anyone want a +10 INT item?
Risarr: I don’t need no stinkin’ intelligence.
Zanbaur: That item is smarter than Risarr is.
Time to keep moving.
We ran The Unquiet Graves, The Lost Thread, and The Battle for Eveningstar on Epic Hard. During the final fight in TBfE, Red Weaver, the red-named bebilith, fell on top of Twizz during his death throes.
Twizz: I am SO gonna hurt tomorrow! Stupid bug, stupid dragon!
After selling and repairing, we headed south in the King’s Forest to find a passage to Sschindylryn. We found the way into the Underdark with relative ease and made our way to the Drow City . We tackled The House of Rusted Blades and suffered a few deaths during the end fight.
All in all, though, a solid evening of questing.
Next week: Take level 22. We’ll head back out to Sschindylryn for The House of Death Undone and The House of Broken Chains.

032116 Monday Night Static Group
Bruggs, Nacolito, Risarr, Twizzix, Xerxax, Zanbaur
All members but Twizzix were present for the first quest; everyone took part in the second.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooorms were the theme for the evening (although the first adventure technically involved a wyrm). First up was Don't Drink the Water followed by In the Belly of the Beast with those great purple worms. Both quests were run on EH.
Naco: Sooo, we gonna level up sometime this year?
Bruggs: Never!
The Monday Night Static Group on Sarlona did not meet, as RL intervened for half of us and kept us from the game.
I'm not sure I explained it well last night but two ways epic quests are different from heroic quests are:
- Overlevel penalty does not apply to epic quests. That means we could be level 30 in a level 20 epic quest and still get the same experience we would get if we were level 20.
- Characters that are level 20 or higher do not receive a power-level penalty, even when grouped with level 28 characters (verified: level 20 had no penalty with a 28 in quest).
Since we'll get the exact same amount of XP whether we take levels as soon as we earn them, or whether we bank them I don't understand the desire to keep banking levels after 20.
