Ok, I haven't seen any threads about this subject, so here goes:

No matter if the new layout is pretty, awfull, good, bad, I'm not arguing on that (well not here anyway).

When we hover the mouse on Community, then click Forums, it opens a pretty and neat webpage with the forum layout on the left and some recent postings in the center. This one.

Now lets say I wanted to go straight to my inbox or my forum profile/settings. I need to open any thread (in the center) or forum section (on the left), wait a bit to load, and only then I can see my user bar (with the Notifications, My Profile and Settings links).

Wouldn't be better, for performance and usability issues, to have that user bar in the start page? Or to go to the Forums Main Page when we click in Forums under the Community top menu?

I agree. For that matter, the recent postings area appears to be broken. It hasn't updated since May 23rd. This is a significant matter for me, as I have no interest in clicking through forum after forum to see if there are active discussions. I have always gone to the New Posts page and read the posts from there. Now that function has not only been abbreviated, it doesn't work at all.

This bothered me more before the [dev tracker] got implemented and took the place of the non-functional [new posts] button.

Now I just click that as it seems to work every time.
