looked at the quests so far I am not seeing any epic versions, all have been lvl 15 on normal. Any plans on making them epic also?

Looking at the exp numbers you have supplied, they should be no longer than about 3 minutes each as that seems similar to many low level quests that cane be done in about that time. Unless of course its more junk exp like the druids curse chain on heroic. It really does make you think about the tinfoil hat brigades theory about all the new content having terrible terrible exp as a way to make people buy more exp pots at higher levels.
Does anyone else think level 15 quests . . . where the chain that gets you to the FR is level 16 . . . is just friggin dumb?
No epic version is even dumber.

Given how many tr's there are out there with keys, not so much. Can everyone get there with a key? No, but can a large amount of players? Yes. Also, there is going to be some sort of starter characters around that level that begin in Fearun instead of Eberron mentioned in that 'our years plan is" letter a while back, so I simply assume these quests are primarily intended for the tr's and those starter characters.
And making some non-epic quests in the quest level range where there aren't a lot of quest choices is not a bad idea to me at all. When I look at the who lists it's not all a bunch of end game toons with a few scattered newbies and trs, there are a lot of players at all levels. While players don't have to think about them, devs do.

Those have lower base XP than any of the other level 15 quests, save for sinister storage (which takes about 10 minutes). No one is ever going to run them. Zerger TRs will bolt through the level farming missing and litany. Flower-sniffing TRs will be past the point where they can get decent XP from it by the time they get to eveningstar. 1st lifers will pin after doing litany on elite.
Turbine, good XP quests should be the NORM, not the exception.

its not going to be epic if you recall back to the bday announcement there will be 2 new areas coming in shadowfell a lvl 15-17 area being the prison city aka the 3 new quests from u18 are the ones that lead into that area wich again is lvl 15-17 and then there will be the storm horns wich will be epic lvls 25-28 just keep this in mind before you all go ape wild on dissing the content bc its not epic.
and you all know that exp isn't there first thin they are looking at when something is on lamaland im sure the exp will go up before it hits live

This is directed at Turbine. Time for some honesty here. Can you explain why the xp is so low for these quests? What is the reasoning? Is there some equation you use? Or is it just really low because you enjoy watching us squirm. Why am I getting more xp and more xp per minute in level 3 quests? Certainly not every quest has to be top notch xp, but this is insultingly low. It reminds me of the challenge xp nerf. Is this what is to be expected of level 15+ content in the future? Should we expect xp nerfs to other quests in that level range? If the base xp on these new quests is "correct" then we are practically exploiting by running Litany of the Dead for, what is relatively speaking, INSANE xp by comparison. This is the sort of thing that deserves a bit of discussion, no?
Druid's Deep heroic seemed a bit on the low end combined with the high difficulty on heroic elite.
High Road, while also a bit low, can be zerged and isn't insultingly horrible, though that's epic so it's a bit different.
This new pack has "hold for reinforcements" type xp, the question is, why?
Low XP quests can potentially do two things.
1) Incentivize buying more XP pots from the store
2) Incline players to skip those quests in favor of the old better XP quests.
From a bottom line perspective the first is easily quantifiable and seen as a net increase. The second, however, is just going to make the longevity of new packs low resulting in players feeling like there is less playable content even after significant investments in making that content. This should be seen as a net decrease to the bottom line. But I suspect that is not as easily quantified and people will pick it up at a one time cost anyway for the novelty so it feels like a net win even if the result is the game feels smaller than it really is. So development will continue to be pressured to pump out new content that players quickly exhaust and rarely look back at. This trend needs to change, but I'm not holding my breath.
Wrong, it's only #2. NOBODY chugs XP pots to run poor-XP quests. It's simply NOT needed and just plain stupid. Why would you drink XP pots to run poor XP content when you can drink the pots on high XP content and skip the poor stuff all together.
the ONLY reason poor XP quests get run is loot, favor, and fun.
Boy, you folks at turbine sure know how to keep your supporters happy.
Seriously? This next update has new content in FR, and it doesn't have anything to offer to those of us who are patiently slaving away at EGH because there's nothing else to do again...
And to add insult to injury, the TR folks who might enjoy the refreshing content get crappy XP to show for it.
Classy
Nope, Iconic Characters start at Level 15... and It has been stated that they were intended to be a Faerun thing.
What surprises me is that we have a Tin Can as Iconic Character Class for Eberron ( ok, Tin Cans are Iconics of Eberron, but they are not the only ones... Kalashtars and Shifters also are Iconics of Eberron )
Yup, half baked... A New Class Category for a single class, which is in fact a Tin Can with a few perks that has to have at least 1 Level of Paladin.
Lots of work... there's probably 2 or 3 more classes of Iconic Characters hidden and inactive, that will start on Faerun. They just want to keep it secret.
IIRC It was stated that they did intend to add more and more low level quests on Faerun, so that -at some time in the future- you could start a character either on Eberron or on Faerun at Level 1.
The LVL 15 Startup is the logical progression from Veteran I and Veteran II.
Their next step is going to allow for Veteran II to start on Faerun, with quests to fill the 7 to 15 range...
At worst the Veteran II characters will be able to go to Eberron from Faerun if they want to do quests there... they just won't be able to come back to Faerun until they run through the Web.
Remember in the beginning you had to run Desert Caravan to reach Zawabi's Refuge the first time you wanted to go to the Desert. It's only after a while that they allowed everybody to run in the caravan instead of only those that fought their way through once.
Yup, that's my thought too.
