Question Where do Undead Slaying Arrows drop?

Trying to make some Greater Undead Bane shards and to do that I need 20 of these slaying arrows.

I have been using on-site search, but either my search skills are poor or not much is written on the subject. I cannot seem to find any information on where they drop, so I hope someone here can help me with that. It has to be the normal "Undead Slaying Arrows" - I tried to use "Greater" but they do not work.

    Nowhere in particular.

The slaying arrows are the most difficult things to get for crafting, as they are completely random drops.
Keep checking the AH, someone might sell them.

Bit of history just for the "fun"...

Gems were not added to Cannith Crafting because you can't farm specific places to get a particular one.

I'm pretty sure they don't drop in a specific place but it seems like they drop in a certain level range.

Maybe someone knows the details and could post because I'm curious as well.

I've pulled a few from chests and I'm seem to recall being mid-level, like GH to Vale range, but don't quote me on any of this.
BONGO FURY - Ghallanda - Thingfish - Wizard, Diuni - Ninja, Gheale - Angel, Dullknife - Tank, Noodlefish - Gimp, Jaquaby - Treacherous and other gimps.

That would also be my guess. But if you go too high level, you'd probably be getting the "greater" version (which is useless for crafting).

The lowest level quest that I ever pulled a slaying arrow was on elite Stormcleave. So, I think level 10-18 chests (up to Vale elite). My bet for farming would be on the middle range (12-14), with a quest full of chests.

The Spawn of Whisperdoom have 5 chests for a 10-15 minute Hard run
Desert Caravan have 3 chests in static 10 minutes Hard run
Blockade Buster have 4 chests in 10-15 minutes normal run (CC and ignore anything out of the kobold minibosses and the ogre)
Mired in Kobold have 4-8 chests that can be reasonably zerged if you are overlevel to quickly dispatch the dragons.
Amossa d'Cannith, Sarlona, casually trying Completionist (12/14) [<o>]
    Almost-never-played-alts: Arquera - Chapolin - Fabber - Herweg - Mecanico - Tenma

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

    That seems about my observations.
I imagine a loot gem would shift that 1-2 levels down

The very thought of actually farming for slayer arrows just made my sacks shrink.

I'm talking, of course, about inventory space.

I figure those are things you keep when you pull them and check AH but I could never farm for such a low drop rate item.

I find the sweet spot is level 13, meaning level 11 elite, 12 hard or 13 normal. Figure +/- 2 levels, so anywhere from 11 to 15 would be fair game.

My personal favorite place to farm them is siegebreaker normal.

I will just create some regular Undead Banes instead, does not seem worth the effort farming for.

But if I happen on some whilst questing, I will be sure to set them aside for future use

    Thanks for the replies everybody.
