Farwind: An Air savant Endgame EE DPS Build

I find nightmother's sceptre extremely useful as it covers all spell schools as well as both spell pen and insight spell pen.

95 illusion, evo and conjur
92 enchant, transmutation

Gain another +6 while in reaper and +2 from yugo and rem pot.
Still got to run 3x deep gnome for another 3 illusion for PK.
Also need a more sentinel xp for another 2 charisma in 6 and 7th slots.

I would lose 4 dc, but gain 5 spell pen if switched to arcane sphere over EA.

I just meant changing the sentient filigrees. Nightmother's scepter is gonna be hard to replace for a very long time.

I don't think Arcane sphere is any useful for casters in reaper, unless all you play is low skulls. EA > everything else. Mass cure is incredibly strong, and I'm even getting the belt to boost it further:

There is no way I need the Electric one since I mainly play R6+ quests and just do raids on normal nowadays with pugs. I don't even have Lightning bolt, nor Empower anymore. And switching to Arcane sphere ED for just two raids every 3 days is so annoying that I just refuse to do it.

I would change your nightmother's sceptre. Melody set doesn't offer much, just go 3 charisma since it seems you end up with odd charisma. And I wouldn't use Beholder over Otto's, but that's just me. Don't really know how useful 1 Spell pen vs 200 SP and 1 con is.

right exactly. that's why i only go magister for those heavy spell resistance mobs. Like The Mines of Tethyamar on a higher reaper difficulty. As of now i haven't tried going it in legendary other than just legendary elite for speed runs to get the cloak when it first came out though. Other than that, i very very rarely have a need to swap out of EA. The heals from wrath and mcmw is just so so good. not to mention the Char buffs from Ascendance/Reborn/Prescence

Although i do see Farwils point. 1 spell pen. But as you can tell, im very grindy with my numbers so this is why i was trying the spell pen but after Farwil's suggestion, i may just go otto as well. Simply because my spell pen is literally max it can possibly be outside of the 1, and the newest content isnt heavy with spell resistance anyways so the SP on a non fvs/sorc would be a nice addition as well.

yeah im totally with you on that. EA is the best hands down and i very rarely ever swap out these days but i do like to point things out just for the sake to just simply point things out. It's an option, that's all really.

this is why with my personal set up im considering the Halcyonia. For me personally, it's a trash spot anyways since new content now makes Pansophic meh, and Halcyonia has the efficiency too. I simply can't afford to place devo in most other slots ATM and the head slot would be win. Granted it's not as high as new end gear, but it's a nice addition with the lore i dont have w/o it other than just generalized spell lore then boosted by the quality/insight of my other gear for SPP. It's a compromise sort of thing for me. Still considering diff options though as well. Like the lantern ring is still pretty dated, for example. I tr a lot though so i'll get around to it eventually heh

I didn't know Ascendance gave +2 cha and wis.

Just tested and you can also use Ascendance with Aasimar's Bond of the Protector feat and the Ascendant Bond T4 form. I use over it instead of Savant Form due to the extra 10% spell point cost. Savant can't be used with Ascendance.

Personally I think Aasimar is better than human for reaper due to the recharging Healing Hands. You lose 1 feat for +2 Charisma from bond feat and racial enhancements. I just don't take any spell focus feats and just get the +2 from wiz pl and heroic comp. As long as I dont reset Magister i can still twist in the +3 necro dc bonus. Arcanum is a nice bonus as +3 spell pen and 100 spell points is well worth 6ap.

yeah I didn''t know until about a month ago testing all my numbers. Sure enough, I hit it and seen the charisma go up. Nice addition. Lasts longer than most buffs and free charisma, heck yeah mooooaaar numbers

Made few changes.

New spell list, also got rid of Empower and got Embolden for +2 DC, and moved my points from Harper Tree to EK, so I get +6 PRR (wow) from Shield and Radiant Forcefield proc when my HP gets lower than 50%.

You can replace Maximize for Greater Spell Focus Enchantment and both Hellball and Epic Electrical Spellpower for 2 toughness feats for +1 DC and +60 HP, which is surely better than nothing.

Yes, those two on reply #533 are the right ones and the latest one.

When I did heroic with this toon, I just went full Air/Fire savant, since I had all the gear for Air sorcerer. Never switched until level 30. But that was way before Reaper.

How hard is to level from 1-20 with this build?
I want to make a sorc life so thought of using this build to do it , i have a +4 cha tome +1 racial cha and other ravenloft gear for leveling.
This is build is able to solo R1 content for example?

They are either gonna nerf warlocks or buff wizzies/sorcs and other spellcasters if this trend continues.

I'm really enjoying the DPS and survavibility of this build. Whenever I'm in trouble, Wind Dance, Cocoon and a Heal scroll healing me for 400+ are great and the knockdown immunity is just something that I can't give up. I really hated when, with no savants avaible, every Cometfall or Trip made me fall on the ground forever, basically meaning death.

Sorry I've installed the game today after years. I'm not sure if I'll keep playing but considering I've been away for years, it's going to be hard to keep this updated since I've missed a lot of stuff.

I did find out my Enchantment DC was 83, which is way higher than I remembered/posted in the OP.

If you're serious about coming back, take a look at alchy - I think you'd like the play style moreso than the sorcs of old.
