    If it worked that way this necklace would be pretty ridiculous for MM/CM (assuming it is affected by spellpower and crit chance like lantern ring).

    The altars in ToEE work like that aswell. Wouldn't entirely surprise me.

    They might have fixed it so I don't know for sure. What I know is that I'm not taking the necklace to find out that they may have fixed it before I get my Cloak.

    It does not proc for each Scorching Ray beam. The Ring and necklace both proc for Scorching Ray. Both of the items do use spell power and critical chance. I have not tested if Sonic proc triggers on every missile cast. And if they did I wouldnt tell anyway ;p

    It was proccing on each Scorching Ray beam the first day on Lamannia afaik. It will still be good if I remember wrong/they fixed it anyway. If they both proc, then Ill definetely use the Necklace.

    And it's alright, I just need 40 more completions to test it out. Im not in a hurry

    On Lamannia the necklace worked this way. You can see my post about it here. As far as Live goes I have no clue.

    I've played a bit with the new update on Lamannia to check how this build will do. Should be said that even with the new feats and everything new that we get, casters will still be mile behind Melees and Ranged.

    That being said, there are plenty of improvements with the level cap, the new Twist of Fate slot and the new gear.

    Twist of Fates:

    Staying Air/Cold savant as this update also focuses on Devils. I thought I would get rid of Empyrean. This is the best solution I came up with:





    It gives me +20 Permanent Universal Spell power and +1% Spell Critical chance, which is not bad. I could go Empyrean Magic + Interrogation but keeping Empyrean Magic up is a bit of a pain in the ass that I don't want to put up with at the moment.

    Depending how my Charisma will end up, Interrogation might as well go away for a normal +1 Charisma Twist slot.


    Spellpower:

    A clear and big improvement over my previous Spellpower. The first image is only with Potion of Superior Spark and Potion of Spellpower. The second imagine is with Spellpower Boost, Draconic Fury and Wellspring of Power. These were without any other buff, not even Ship buffs.





    Spell Critical Damage is only 25% since I will take Scion of Plane of Fire.

    The Spellpower, after counting the feats as well, should be:

    Electric: 619 + 75 Empower + 150 Maximize + 75 Intensify = 919 Electric Spellpower running most of the times (1139 with the Temporary buffs and 45% Spell critical damage). Add Ship buffs, Meridian Fragment etc and I should get over 1000 Electric spell power.


    As far as Survavibility goes, the new Robe and the new Boots are boosting my PRR up to 111 (52.61% damage mitigation). My HP will most likely go up if I get some new Con item. Same goes for DCs and Spellpower. The numbers above are just from Feats and Destiny, I have not crafted anything new or looted the new +14/+4 Stat items or the new Spellpower GS weapons. Overall it's a fair bit of improvement compared to U28 but other issues will persist (most important the very limited Spellpoint/dmg ratio).

    I'm still not sure about what feats to take. On one hand, I want Master of Air + Greater Ruin. On the other hand, with that set up, I cannot take Intesify damage. Also, I hate Greater Ruin but it's just too good to pass up at the moment. Will see how it turns out.

    Empyrean magic is too good to pass up, especially with higher critical damage. Worst case, you can keep it up with hellball, which is a DPS increase overall anyway. It's expensive yes, but so is ruin.

    I just used to use Cocoon + Heal scrolls in the worst case scenario, Hellball is part of the spell rotation in most of the cases anyway. I was thinking that 9% Spell crit chance wasn't worse the hassle without Fire spells, maybe I'll reconsider it in the end. I kinda hate abilities like this.

    Don't worry, I'll abuse the s*** out of it. 110~ SP (when I forget to use clickies) for over 10k Force damage? Count me in. Greater Ruin pales in comparison to this.

    Hi just popping in to mention dire charge as something worth considering as a level 29 feat. It would require 2 gear slots and 1 twist to get the most out of it, but if you can fit that in you will have an amazing cc option with it and it invokes helplessness for 6 seconds. Compared to enchantment it's much easier to fit in since there is no feat requirements and less gearing requirements vs. spell pen +enchantment.

    I have been really impressed with it on my melees and it finally occurred to me it could actually work better on a bursting caster since it uses best stat rather than strength. DC appears to better than what I can get for spells (at least as a feat-starved warlock) and its costs 0 sp with a reasonable cooldown.

    Thanks for the tip! There is no way I can fit this in tho. My lv29 feat is Arcane Pulse which is absolutely OP and I don't want to give it up just yet just for some more CC. Also my equipment is a real mess at the moment, I would need +stun items and I'm not even sure where to put +Charisma at the moment :P


    That being said, I'm playing around with my toon these days. Changes that I've made so far:

    1) Swap Greater Spell Focus: Evocation for Spell Penetration
    2) Swap Great Charisma for Greater Spell Penetration

    My twists at the moment looks like this:

    3) Piercing Spellcraft (+3 Spell Pen from EA)
    3) Echoes of the Ancestor: Draconic Incarnation (+1 CHA, +9 USP)
    2) Evocation Specialist ( +3 Evocation from Magister)
    1) Cocoon
    1) Interrogation ( +5 USP, +1% Spell Crit Chance)

    Also my DI now has 2 points into Piercing Spellcraft.

    My Spell Penetration is 52 so far, which is no-fail for kobolds in Creeping Death (53 required) and almost no fail for other stuff. Andoris posted these numbers in his thread and I trust his testing:

    - Gloves: Gauntlets of the Arcane Soldier (Green slot: , Blue slot: )
    - Bracers: Legendary Green Steel +20/+10/+5 Electric Spell Critical Damage
    - Armor: Leathers of the Celestial Sage (Blue slot: +40 False Life, Green slot: )
    - Goggles: Legendary Green Steel +56 Enhancement/ +28 Insightful / +14 Quality (+98 Total) HP OR Legendary Green Steel +20 /+10 /+5 Cold Spell Critical Damage OR +302 /+151 / +75 (+528 total) Spell Points
    - Ring2: Random Gen Cold Spellpower / Electric Spell Critical Chance
    - Main Hand: +150 Enhancement / +37 Quality / +37 Exceptional Electric Spellpower
    - Off-hand: +14 Enhancement/ +7 Insightful / +2 Exceptional Charisma

    With this setup, I'm missing all the Cold Spellpower and the Cold Spell Critical Chance. I could also move my LGS Electric Spell Critical Damage to Cloak, LGS goggles to Head and have free Bracers and Goggles for random Gen. Random Gen Goggles can have Spell Focus + Spell Penetration on them.

    I've absolutely no clue. This is a mess.

    Wizza: where are you getting your PRR from? I'm nowhere near 111, and that's with Divine Warding running (which I want to switch out for Pulse)

    It took me a while but I've finally updated the OP to get it on par of U29.

    I've updated:

    My Evocation and Enchantment DCs

    Spell Power

    Also Screenshots, Screenshots everywhere!

    I've also added a PRR and Dodge section, togheter with the Achievement and Videos section, where I posted a few of the SS and Videos that I was holding on. Most of them are pretty standard, the videos that you can find on Rys' channel are more exciting and worth seeing. Check them out!

    I've yet to update the Equipment as I still have no clue how I will end up in that department. I've a major idea on what to get and where to get but the difficult part will be actually looting all those random gen items.

    How is your build doing for spell pen in legendary content? Ive got heroic comp as well as 3x wiz and 2x FvS lives and still not sure if to go back to Air Savant or do Warlock. Though find Warlock a little too simplistic as a caster compared to Sorc. Not sure what to drop for Completion and depending on how your spell pen is doing I would drop greater spell pen for Comp feat.

    Also, have you tried Burst of Glacial Wrath?
