I have to agree... this was a upgrade/roll-out total cluster F@#$.

• All pre-existing links... broken
• Users in limbo with not being able to login... just look at the severe drop in usage.
• Horrible experience trying to read anything.
• Secure site which prevents Google crawler/Bing Crawler for SEO purposes
• *yeah, I know you were making the site secure because SOMEBODY thought it was a good idea to tie our real account into to the login as opposed to how it was before.
• Myddo is fried...not that it worked reliably anyhow.
• The DDO API is limping along in whatever state it has been in for years.

I could go on...but the more I spell it out for you ... the more frustrated I get with the lack of communication. It has been days since anyone spoke to these issues.

On top of all this, no Dev Tracker...and No notes on what U18 is or isn't.

In the 8 years of life here on ddo.com... this is by far the worst Forum update and roll-out I've seen. And I was around for the 'accidental' wipe way back when.

Get it together Turbine.... web sites are not that complicated. I do this for a living (web manager of multiple web applications and supporting staff)

Basic web migration ... use a 301 redirect and modify your .htaccess file (or equivalent depending on your architecture....)

And forcing your user base to rely upon information from Social Media outlets (G+, Twitter and Facebook)...when the user base has not shown any interest in such things is a bad decision. WE come here to the forum to interact with you and each other.

Though, at this point,... they probably can't roll back. Their only options are keep this new site and fix it as time and talent is available to address the problems. OR... complete wipe and start over with the old site as that forum likely was not backed up (my opinion) and they don't have the experience to restore to a previous version of the forums.

Ugh... gonna go watch Defiance on TV.

I hope they get this right.... It must suck to get beat up both for Game bugs and issues...then have Web migration bugs and issues. I don't envy them at all.

I think I'm done venting.... guess it is time to wait and see.
