I addition to the Daily Dice Silver Rolls, you get a Weekly Gold Dice Roll for free if you are VIP. These are much higher XP value and can add up nicely. I ETR'd last life to Iconic so I didn't use my saved XP stones. Now I don't save any under 500 and have about 40 valued between 500 and 10k XP.
My comments:
I save daily dice XP "orbs" that are larger than 300xp (I'm P2P) on a mule. There was a brief time that Turbine increased the XP value of these, so I actually had a 2,000 XP one saved, 2-3 1,000 XP ones and several 500-750. I had enough to take me right to level 2 when I TR'd for my current life. I just save off all the good ones, and only use the 100 and 300 XP ones. Because let's face it - 500XP is nothing once you go beyond level 4 or so.
A couple of twink items that you left off your list
http://ddowiki.com/page/Necklace_of_Contemplation - I LOVE this item, and wear it until level 6 or 7.
http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:The_Master%27s_Gift - I managed to slot this into a MW ring with Melee Alacrity on it that's ML 3. Very nice. You have to experiment with the different colored augment slots. Some of them have a higher ML than other.
A couple of other things that are often overlooked:
Turn in collectibles. If you want a stack of healing potions, but can't afford them. For example, you can turn in Amber Vials to http://ddowiki.com/page/Wash_Pynoptis in exchange for potions of lesser healing. Spend some time researching the collectibles system. It's not great, but you can get some really good stuff out of it.
For example, http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Potion_of_Cat%27s_Skill is a potion which grants an alchemical bonus (+1, +2, or +3) to any ability score (in this case, dex). That could be just the thing you need to help find a difficult trap (int), or open a high DC locked door (dex).
And speaking of Alchemical bonuses, I'm a huge fan of using the Stone of Change to augment my gear with alchemical bonuses. http://ddowiki.com/page/Stone_of_Change
For example, my Necklace of Contemplation (and my Voice of the Master) both have an Alchemical bonus to Saves on them. And if you have a really good weapon or armor that you plan to use at low levels, consider adding a Force dmg ritual to it. The Risia Ice Game are also really nice because you get the ingredients to add frost damage to non-named loot. That's a great thing to add to low level twink gear as well.
speaking of my comment on extreme OCD...
Daily/Weekly rolls would be something a reasonable person would have deduced from my comment.
If someone is doing that original TR checklist, they are going to be spending just a week alone after hitting 20 to make sure they have checked it off, so they'll have plenty of time get lots of rolls.
I would also put a link to Character Builder Lite for Build Planning (I prefer this one)
https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...r-Builder-Lite
That's nice and all but how can you factor this into a 1 TR/week?
It's nice that you saved some XP stones form 6 months ago when they doubled their value, but that's not something that happens on average.
If you plan to do 10 TRs to advance toward completionist over a few months, those few XP stones are not going to get you past level 4 every time you TR.
Like I said you get 2-3k XP per week from your silver rolls and that's it, nowhere near the 80k needed for level 4.
I know it from a fact, I do TR often. What's your source?
Some really good points to remember in here, thanks for posting!
