celestia...who is it good for?

i have a cleric with a celestia...if the enhancement changes are as bad as advertised (NB : i haven't logged onto lamannia only did some light reading here) i may TR my cleric into some sort of melee. any advice on what would go well with a celestia?

On my DDD-style S&B fighter, Celestia is my all-purpose DR breaker. My Nightmare is Good slotted, but sometimes there's not an arti in the group - breaking any DR plus keeping Planar Focus is excellent.

That said, DPS-focused S&B builds are merely "good" right now instead of "awesome", but that could change with new content and the enhancement pass - which is what you seem to be worried about.

A 2WF 12-6-2 build like kensai or juggernaut may still be safest though.

On my two weapon fighter I use it to steal kills and keep my blitz maxed.

I was thinking the same kind of thing OP. Really the most fun useful cleric build is something that takes advantage of racial prestige enhancements and is a melee type from what I can tell in the future. I was thinking 17 cleric 2 monk 1 fighter grandmaster of flowers unarmed fighting halfling with wisdom primary dex secondary that has good stunning fist dc, good ein dc, decent implosion dcs, mediocre to poor dps with sneak attack. Healing 5, Assasin 4, Monk 2, Halfling X.

Favored Souls have more options for fun in my opinion. I have a dwarven FVS that I have not played in a year, but was fully up to date at that point which would be very good as Nuker/Healer/Tank. Anyway not super excited regardless.

It's a **** good, all around weapon. If you have it, it works especially good for TWF rogues.

If you have proficiency in Short Swords...

also if you get some benefit from light weapons..

it is very nice.

I think it has radiance... so good for Sneak Attack damage. (and blinded things miss half the time I think)



Question is....... do THF feats effect it? Like I think they do for Bastard swords?
Anyone know?

it's the new "Mineral II Khopesh" but more so, pretty much can use it on anything and every breaks blunt DR.

Heck, it's a Mineral II and a Radiance II all in one.

And the DPS is pretty darn good, not sure how to calc it because of all the random procs but on my EE Sorbien beat down tests Dual Celestias are only a few seconds slower than dual Balizardes . . . and he's a fire immune target.

Bypass the DR of just about everything.

Blinding is good for rogues.
