Default Arcane Archer Energy of the Wild is... weird..

first rank adds 30 SP, no problem there
second rank supposedly add it up to 60 SP (but bugged and still only giving 30 SP total)
third rank gives you 100 SP that's including the 80 SP from magical training that's granted by rank 3

    100-80 = 20
which means by taking third rank your bonus dropped from the supposed 60 sp to 20...? =_=
PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
    less buffing, more nerfing!!!
to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"

The wording is terrible but the effect is fine: You gain the Magical Training feat and 100 mana total.

Yeah, it essentially folds the 60 sp from the first two tiers into the magical training feat, grants you magical training, and then gives you 20 more sp on top of that. On the bright side, if you already have the magical training feat, you actually can't take rank 3 of this. Not sure if the dev's did that on purpose or if it is a lucky accident, but I think it's a good thing either way.

Third ranks being arbitrarily worse for more traditional builds (an arcane archer with you know, actual arcane levels) isn't "fine".

    It's poor design.

The game should never actively encourage players to meta game and be pigion holed into specific builds because of some odd change. (especially when said builds go hard against the tradition DnD class the PrE is based on)

Simply make it 100 SP, no magical training feat. So the more traiditional arcane archers that still want arcane levels (like used to be required) dont get boned.

Plus in general, enhancements should simply stack. Anything thats semi permanent on your character should be useful and stacking. The fact they keep typing and forcing non stacking ness in enhancements is just bad design.

Equipment stacking rules are complex enough, enhancements dont need to be typed or non stacking ever.

That's your bias. AAs are perfectly fine and effective without a single arcane level, and this ability is solid for a tier 1 effect.

The point. You totally missed it.

Agreed. I kind of liking the magical training purchase, particularly for bards who should have it already anyway, but with all the stacking traps and poor/lying descriptions in the game, the last place you should have confusion is in your core character build.
