Default What quest to farm EDs these days?

I hear Rusted Blades is still solid, but also a lot of good stuff about Impossible Demands? I'm about to cap a toon who's intended primary destiny is not it's first, and I wanted to know what quest I should farm in order to more quickly level up my more useless EDs.

I'd be surprised if many were willing to answer this for you.

    Why?

Because quite frankly when you need 20,000,000 XP the last thing you want is yet another source nerfed.

ID is great in that it's so close to town so you can reset your destiny.

I don't like using either though, as I find that kind of repetition bad for the freaking soul. Mind you, I do it on occasion, but that's mostly because I'm also pretty much a moron.

BUT ... between the two, I like Impossible Demands a bit more. It's a bit more active in that in order to complete fast, there are things you should do. I also like the fact that if you have a trapper who can get the 4-5 traps you can get 8-10% more XP. It may not be as fast as Rusted Blades, but there's more to be done and I think it engages a party better (and that means you can at least socially interact). It's also "done" when it is "done" and you can run to the door, there are no weird recall-glitches or people dragging mobs to you while you try to recall, etc.

Nerfing the XP on these only hurts new guys - not the people who've already bled it dry.

I'm pretty sure Turbine knows how many quests we run per day, and how much exp each one gives out. I don't doubt that they can figure out which quests they want to nerf.

Sorry if I am being dense, but...

Every time you repeat a quest, your xp reward decreases. Doesn't it kill the very concept of "farming xp" -- for epic destinies or otherwise?

You're correct only if you are not at cap. Once you hit level cap, i.e. level 25, your repeat penalty stops. So many people don't run farmable quests like Rusted blades if they are below level 25. They wait until they hit cap, then run them for ED xp.

You don't get repeat penalties at cap. That's why people don't do Impossible Demands, Rusted Blades more than twice before they cap.

On topic, Rusted Blades, Von3, Trial by Fire, Claw when invis is fixed.

You stop being penalized once you reach character level 25.

If you are at max level, you don't incur additional XP penalties for repeats.

VON 3 is always fun, and has a ton of chests too...

It's a good change of pace when Impossible Demands is making your eyeballs bleed.

Not as good xp/min, but still quite good, and more fun too.

For clarification, you don't need to be level 25 to stop repetitions from stacking up. You only need to have maxed epic xp (3,000,000) in order for repetitions to stop counting, which can be done as early as level 23.

I'm hardly a power gamer so I don't know too many tricks for the game in general, and after coming back from a break (when I did not yet understand the repetition system in epics) I farmed the heck out of ID and Rusted Blades before capping a toon. For ED xp, I use The Deal and the Demon.

Rusted Blades is going to be nerfed into oblivion once the cap increases to 28 anyway just because of the over-level penalty. No need to change the XP.

And even in Rusted Blades, if you include the time it takes to run from the questgiver to the quest and back again, it's just "meh". It's only when you window farm it that the XP is worth farming.

There are times when you're not window farming it? I mean, besides when you run it to flag on a newly 20 toon ...

    I prefer rusted blades:

    more piking, less doing

    If you're interested in xp/min:

    impossible demands

The Unquiet Graves in Kings Forest is a good one. 6 or 7 min runs for 15k XP.

Impossible demands is best XP/minute, but now I prefer TbF. Its slower, but there are 3 chests with some loot and relics.

And don't forget that farming loot will also get you XP if you haven't drained the XP already. I got a full 4 ranks of a Destiny from stupid Partycrashers alone.

There's some good XP in Gianthold Tor if you want to farm for things that are actually worth having.
