    Default New Monk Enhancements

    So getting on i didnt read which classes got the enhancements my sorc 2 monk was able to access all the monk enhancements even though my 20 monk cant lol just because were not "allowed" yet but im here to say they finally made Henshin Mystic a prestige enhancement it looks pretty neat for light and dark monks dark monks get a nice healing amp its a dot that stacks light damage with each use stack up to 10 times 1d6 light damage for every 2 seconds for 10 seconds if the thing dies within 10 seconds with this on it it heals all surrounding allies for 100 thats dark monk only light monks get a negative leveling enhancement there instead. They also changed around ninja spy and shintao, Newest finisher in ninja spy is called double finisher, you gain 100% double strike for 6 seconds, Cant wait to test that on my dex based monk the rest of the enhancements will all be shown in the picture album i will link. On to shintao the only new thing i see is the base stuff will be linked below and then Meditation of war, To much to type and explain here but the picture of it will be below. All you monk lovers hope your as excited as i am for the new revamped ninja spy and the new Henshin Mystic.

    I cannot see these. can you please tell me
    1. Which tree ten thousand stars is in

    and

    2. how many points in the tree do you need to spend to get it (also how many points is tts itself)

    I would be very appreciatie

    It is gone, replaced by an air attack debuff.
    There was talk about 10k star becoming a feat, but it was not on any of my feat lists, so as of now it does not exist. We will have to wait to see if it returns in some form in monk preview week.

Afaik 10k stars is no longer an enhancement, last i heard devs were considering possibly replacing it with a feat. Personally i am very disappointed with what i have seen, while there are potentially some very nice new abilities there is too much pidgeon holing of each and too many flavour abilites that are either completely useless if you aren't building around them or are just of dubious utility but you need to spends the aps somewhere

    Monks are getting ridden hard and put away wet. Just delete your toon now. Void 4 and Serenity require top tier henshin, healing amp requires shintao, touch of death is top tier ninja spy. So... yeah... having all 3 like I do right now, flat out impossible. In their place you can get a bunch of laughable abilities that are going to just make you want to TR into a barbarian that much faster.

    Thumbs down Flabbergasted!

    With each new class and pre tree I see, I am just astounded and very disappointed.

    If this goes live, Turbine is essentially creating a new game. A game I will not want any part of playing.

    Did monks just lose "wings" (abundant step)? Or did I miss that somewhere.

    Ouch. I mean thats just wrong if true.

    Also did not see elemental stances which so far have been quite a defining feature for monks.

    Some nice and interesting things here as well and maybe since these were not released yet they will look a little different.

    I think abundent step is an autogranted feat type ability at Monk Lvl 12.

    Abundant step is an autogranted feat, and the stances will become autogranted feats. The way it works on lamma, at levels 6,12,and 18 of monk, you gain a passive increase to your elemental stances that improves them to the next tier, for free, regardless of stats.

    Please keep in mind folks, this is just ALPHA testing. We have not seen everything, nor have we seen any adjustments. Fill out the enhancement surveys to provide the feedback.

    You are incorrect. Beta = release for Turbine. Think about this everyone screaming that the apocalypse is upon us. Not since 2005 has there been a true Alpha testing of any new game mechanic, yet here we are with one. This is something big enough that Turbine has requested people to provide feedback; however, the over dramatized feedback without anything constructive will do nothing.

    Want to make the system better? Do the survey. Provide constructive feedback with logical arguments in the appropriate places on the forums.
    Want the system to stay as is and still make it to live? Continue to claim doom without any convincing arguments.

    The choice is yours. Personally, I vote for the constructive way to get this system adjusted.

    I also saw those proposed monk enhancements and they look great.. However I am going to report this thread because really they did not want people looking or concentrating on this anyway. Which is why I have not posted details about it.

    I think these are the stance replacements:
    Fire: +2 Insight bonus to Damage and DCs on Stun, Sunder and Trip. -5 AC.
    Water: +5 Insight bonus to max dodge bonus. -10% damage with attacks.
    Earth: +10 Insight bonus to PRR and +3% insight bonus to max HP. -5% dodge cap.
    Wind: +2 Insight bonus to hit, +5% insight bonus to offhand attack chance. You take 5% more physical and elemental damage.

    Uhg..not happy if so for my grandmaster of storms stance'd shintao.

    keep in mind, one of the core abilities in that tree removes the negative effects from these enhancements, so it would become +2 hit, +5% off hand attacks. not too bad, given how good wind stance is already.

    True. I did think of that but the loss of melee speed and doublestrike chance...Mmm still not happy with a change like this.
