Do a study and ask how many had their Lamannia client prior to last week. There are no less than 5 threads on people unable to get into Lamannia; either from Pando errors or Connect:Waiting issue. You do realize all these people are stating Lamannia issues, and are able to get into the live servers right? So if it was ISP, would it not effect BOTH clients? Yes, even an IT person would agree with that logic.

Does it give you a thrill treating others like dirt on forums?

I downloaded a fresh copy and installed it today yet im able to login I must be a magic maker. I stated pure fact nothing to do with you or anyone else for that matter google it if you like. I'm axially downloading a fresh copy to install fresh as a double blind test as I write this.

So how about some specs then on what you're using to connect without issue on a fresh installation attempt. Clearly many of us have been following the advice in half a dozen threads at this point.

"I can connect, must be you.", it's help; it's a troll.

Missing the big picture I see, so let me assist you. You, obviously not effected by this. Hosts of others ARE effected by this. Again that is, YOU, no issue. Others WITH issue. Others are having so much of an issue that Cordovan actually responded stating that they were looking into the issue effecting many. Is it effecting all? No, no one has ever stated that. However, it is effecting enough people to draw attention by Turbine staff. Just so you can see that I am not magically stating this without basis, here is the original response.

im sitting at a 6 system workstation im downloading it on all 6 and testing it on all 6 there running various operating systems. will also compare a known working install folder to a fresh one for consistency.

i refuse to assist people that neg rep and i know who did it when i have results i will only share them by PM.

You do understand that workstations versus personal computers at home is not an equivalent testing environment right? Not many people have workstations at home.

I can't log in either. I have an install from several months ago, and it's just sitting and hanging at "waiting".

I guess I can try downloading a new version of the client, but ugh...

Based on what most are stating, the new download will not be beneficial to you. If you knew yours worked before I would keep that one, at least until Turbine issues another statement on the issue.

Yeah, I've been having the same issue as well. Live works just fine, but Lammania hangs on connect. Just now tried both again, btw. Downloaded on Friday problem began immediately following download and install.

A friend of mine is having the same problem and he's using an older version of Lammania, so new versus old may well not be the issue.

Turbine, any chance when this is done you'll let us use the character copy tool after this problem gets fixed?

    Kahliah,
Does this mean that your husband hangs on connect as well?

That could be really messy if he just hanging there. Hopefully just silly putty not nails or push pins.

I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with. So far I've had zero luck getting past the installation phase on Win XP and Win 7. On both OS, Pedo(Pando) claims it can connect to the servers but as soon as the progress bar finishes for installation, it claims the firewall is blocking it. Disabled firewall and same result. Disabled AV, same result. Disabled proxy settings in the 3rd party ****, ran as administrator and still nothing. Both machines can connect to any live server of your choice and run around.

I love how we've got a massive, potentially game killing change coming and we're still being forced to jump through hoops with third party shovel ware in order to test and give our feedback.

Unfortunately turbine has always employed 3rd party download system that result in end user problems even on live they use pando if you go to pando's website you will find a rather extensive listing of problems on there forums as well. before pando they had some other system that allowed you to download only the harbor and korthos area so you could get in game real fast and that caused nothing but issues as well. all systems I work from are held to clean room standards the security is government level nothing gets in or out unless I know about it.

Sadly, this I know. I just wish I knew which employee's cousin had stock in the company and talked them in to using it.

If I was not legal bound not to talk about the things I fix and have seen on the 10,000's of computers I work on regularly and the problems and things people get in to.

I've created a patch that will resolve connection issue's simple unzip paste in folder fix but as not to cross any boundaries on the forums I cant post it. Will give link on PM only I take no responsibility for any side effects for anyone that uses. the files contained within it are 100% official unmodified files they have just been repackaged as a fix all.

Downloaded and installed 45 mins ago on my new PC, over hardline, not wireless.
I have the Connect : Waiting Error.

I am able to log into Live game just fine.

I will hook up my old PC and see if it still has a copy of Lama on there.
