    Just a note:

Unless there is a reason you want a great sword, if you are truly melee spec'd (meaning you have a reasonable damage bonus to apply) falchions will out damage both great axes and great swords in all cases except for named items. So, Min II falchion is a great option. If you are specializing in a weapon (like kensei), which is unlikely, then it makes some sense to look at great swords and great axes because of specific named items like eSoS, eAGA, etc, that you will likely not get anyway if you don't raid.

If he's Warforged, then he's getting greatsword proficiency basically for free. Axes or Falchions would require considerably more investment (splash, half-elf with fighter dill, or a feat spent).

If you are stuck with great swords you need to raid. ESOS at 20 and Skybreaker is a nice option at cap. Turbine is pretty dead set on not giving us any more good greatswords. If next update is epic orchard then hopefully epic atonement could be something nice.

Personally, if you're stuck with greatswords, I'd consider figuring out how to not be tied to one weapon type only (2 fighter levels is a good way). Even with eSoS and Skybreaker as options, there are potentially more useful (if not better) choices, especially if you decide you like - or at least don't mind - raiding (especially Cleaver or Breach).

I have a L25 WF FVS - and the DR from purity is worth staying pure and being stuck with Greatswords.

LitII is still in my main 5 weapons.....but is now number 2 on my use on trash list. First is a ML25 Vorpal of G. Bloodletting (iirc). On vorpal affected mobs it is very good. On anything else its either the LitII or a crafted weapon (ie HB addy of GCB for LOB, HB of EOB) for specific opponents and one quarterstaff for undead.

Just hit the AH and look for good ML20+ swords and you can probably find something to outdo anything other than a LitII fairly quickly.

But I am not a gear grinder and I haven't done the FOT or CITW raids yet (too many alts and TRs going on).
