No, it's not AA that is more brutal than it used to be. The new FotW is. Although I mostly play FotW archer, for me, this is a big problem. It throws whatever balance there might be between FotW and SC out the window.
That's the big picture in end game and I don't like it at all.
I agree that slaying clickie shot should go into the DWS thematically. Also might help prevent OP fotw combinations.
AA has gotten better, but also costs a lot more. I think this is good, and I also think most melee/AA hybrids will only go up to tier 2 or so, which I am ok with.

No, I don't. By my experience Shiradi is very powerful and still comparable to FotW. It's just that FotW's power is more controllable, easier to play and that sudden big numbers make people cream pants.
Even so, if You (or anyone else) believe, that FotW is already much better, is the solution then to widen the gap even further?
All this argument is a distraction from the real issue. By debating the pros and cons of different gbuilds and tactics regarding this change you are losing sight of the simple fact:
This is a 20 point per arrow damage nerf to anyone who doesn't feel like mashing even more buttons and drinking SP pots. It should not be, for that reason alone. It is a nerf to damage. Lets understand that is what it is, that is what was intended by the devs, and that is teh problem.

I agree about button mashing. I hate it. I want to be able to set a few things and forget about it, and just have fun. I don't care about min max characters, I want options. I want to be able to play something different.
Currently I can play something for fun and flavor and still contribute. I do not want to be forced to play the same exact character as everyone else.
But I still am not able to install or log into Lamannia to see these things for myself so I have to rely on what I read here.

to at least decrease the SP cost. It's radically high. It should be more like 10-12 SP.
Other than that, I don't think any amount of railing at the devs will get them to reconsider their position on the new slayer arrow.
I mean, look at how many of us have been crying blood about how crappy the cleric trees are--they haven't commented at all on it, and who knows what their beta will look like.

Changes like this (perm stance to clickable attack) I usally don't like, mostly because it feels like a nerf perse, because it adds buttons to mash, cooldowns to check, hotbars to fill...
But I have to say that at least for the moment on Llamaland, Adrenaline Overload + Manyshot + Arrow of Slaying = 5k damage per arrow. Which is nice, imo.
