So where is the Figurine of Wonder?

During the run up of Motu, the premium expansion set had the Figurine of Wonder: Panther (Gold Seal Hireling). The devs mentioned that it would be made available for purchase at a later date...So are there any plans to release this item in the store OR to have other Figurines of Wonder?

Actually I'm 99% sure they said it would not be available for purchase at a later date and it was a perk to pre-ordering. Just the quests destinies druid were going to be available for purchase thru the store.

Saying these specific items will not be available ever again is not the same as saying this other item will be available.

EDIT: I'm going to bet on it being a bonus for the collector's edition of the next expansion.

I'm one hundred percent certain it was a preorder only item.

Tomes, Destinies, Adventures, Druid are all things that can be bought, but the Kitty summoning statue, and the 3 Pets are pre-order only items.

I don't actually expect Turbine to stick to any promises they make about not offering something for sale (and profit) at a later date.

However, my understand was that it was a pre-order only item.

They may not have actually said that about the FoWP though....

of course they could just change its color and call it a Snow Figurine of Wonderous Power.. or a Spotted Figurine of Wonderous Power.... and technically keep any promise they may have made about it not being available.

Guen is tied to the underdark lore, no chance it will get released for anything but MotU.

Well, I guess we can each read this as saying something different. One can state "that only the cosmetic pets are exclusive." Another can state "that they did not say that it would be on sale later." Having only one character, I could not rationalize spending the $80 for some bonus to one character (I already had most of the "bonus" packs). Maybe Turbine can rework the Cannith raids to include a gold hire mechanical creation process... then people might run that quest again.

one character... wuthfug you talkin bout willis? every character you ever make on yor account gets the panther and all other perks for the 80 dollar pack it was an incredible value for things like the lesser xp tome for all future alts you make. But as far as I and alot of others could gather the panther companions was a must buy now perk only. It was largely for me the big sales point of the 80 dollar pack as I dont alt alot personally.

So for me if they did offer the panther or even a similar type of companion for less then 50$ in the store Id find that likely the straw that shattered the spine of the camel after its legs and back had broken and you only nursed it out of kindness based on the good ol days.

The only thing that was for one character was the Greater learning tome once per server you were supose to get the three pets and the panther for every character made that said I didnt get them on some servers even after asking multiple times.

I could swear it was stated in the MOTU Beta forums that the Panther was exclusive to the collectors edition. Kinda like how the new perma cleric is exclusive to the DDO starter kit. Unfortunately, none of those pages are available anymore. Whomever wrote the DDOWiki page for the pre order certainly had in mind that the panter was exclusive. They state it several times.

So one person with 5 others (6 if companion DID ANYTHING!) with him and it looks pretty sweet and felt like I was watching a summoner build. Which is something I have missed from my old SWG Master Creature Handler days.

If you only play one character the collectors pack wouldnt have been a good deal the good part was getting the lesser learning tome per character and the pets and mask on every character but that doesnt mean they should offer limited items just because someone wants them.

Sadly the pets here will never really remind me of the fun of a creature handler in SWG
