    Default TR Dilemma!

    Hello all,
It's been quite long now that my belowed Zavarthak has been a DDD build. I would like to change gameplay to something a bit more DPS oriented, still THF and possibly without many shot (yeah I don't like it! ) and of course EE-orientred. I have planned two builds for now:
    • A Human Barbarian;
    • An HOrc Paladin.

Any other suggestion is welcome, especially if supported by numbers!

    Yours sincerely,
    Z.

This build may give you some ideas for a Paladin life, It uses manyshot but you can change ranger lvls for fighter, more paladin or another if want more feats or other abilities: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=412000

Ehh... I really don't like horc pallies. Do you have an ESoS? without one, twf is so superior on paladins it's not even funny.
I'd do a human barbarian over a horc paladin. Horc paladin just doesn't have good synergy with the class. Even if you go twf, human would be better for the healing amp. My human paladin (also a tr) is currently level 18, and my cure mod wounds hits me for about 200. I lose a few points of dps, I suppose, but I probably gain it back since all my special strikes proc on both hands.

I just want to give you props for being willing to run a half-orc paladin.

I first wanted to run a half-orc paladin back when paladins were strictly restricted to the human race for players. I had a half-orc, LG, fighter who served as the executioner for his feudal lord. He always wanted to be a paladin but was cursed by birth to never fulfill his dream.

Now, with changes to D&D (and within DDO) it is, of course, well within a player's ability to make such a choice. And, I do have him sitting waiting on play time (eventually).

Paladins are so universally bad in DDO that it takes great skill to play one seriously and with the goal of running epics. So, I commend you.

    Well done I say!

I second this motion. You can even fit in manyshot for the lulz.

    Hey hey!

The most efficient melee toons are currently hybrid types, most using LD/Fury/PA and using a self sufficient platform w/ Manyshot.
There are many hybrid types, Juggernaut is one. The Pyrene is another. My personal belief is that the pyrene is the "best" current hybrid, and that's after playing several hybrid types. Here's a gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNmBQzAU1Xo

The 14/4/2 split would be very interesting on a Horc platform (perfect amount of feats).

But then, if you are looking for a long term thing, you are better off waiting. Although it's not likely, the enh. pass may change some builds/splits.

Good luck with it and let us know what you end up chosing, and even more importantly, make a video of it ^^

Thanks for the good suggestions guys ... I considered going back to pure Kensai or TRing into something else, made a lot of build drafts as well with the equipment but at the moment i feel like waiting...

April 30 is near and there's something knocking at door, i gotta check it then decide where to play. Hope you guys got the drift: in case i decide to continue invest time into DDO i'm surely going to TR into something uber!

    Thanks again,
    Z.

@Sym: already saw the video nice.
@Durnak: Kensai seems almost like an ex that never leaves her grasp on me lol.
