Thanks to the new Gianthold loot, you could always do a Dwarf Ranger, focused on dual-wielding Axe of Adaxus.

Alright, I'm staring at a Druid. I do like to beat on things too though, so will be multiclassed a bit.

On one hand, I'd love to do Shield / D-Axe only we all know the plight of available dwarven axes ... and after looking, shields are pretty well loot-gen only for the vast majority of leveling.

Contemplating swinging a greataxe instead. I've got the mats I can finish off an eAGA and an eAGAoF (and a Hellstroke, but that's not likely to be any use) ... plus with the GH loot there should be plenty of options early and late (and Cleaver, of course). I'd spin up a 3x PoS something too.

I could also go centered with staves; just not sure that's something I'd want to do on this toon.

Anything above 7 dwarves is too much.

In fact, you really just need 1 dwarf. Gimli

A couple of ranger-based ideas: one would be to take something like Whirling Dervish or cforce's Warden and make it more tactics-oriented. Or take my Kougar and tweak feats to add, say, Stunning Blow & Imp Sunder. Trying to think up some good druid-based tactics builds, but nothing so far.

I'm thinking of rolling, for lack of a better description, an Azer. Dwarf druid-monk, fighting in Fire Elemental form mostly using Stunning Fist. 18/2 may be the most future proof, but a 17/2/1 can sneak out another +1 DC on stunning fist, so that may be an option as well.

If there were more decent shield options for melee druids, I'd consider a S&B wolfy type possibly ... alas, not so.
