Do like augments stack in different slots?

I have an Epic Elite Mountain's Fist and I was wondering if I can put three of the same augment gems in it if they are in different colored slots or if I just have to put three different sovereign augment gems on it?

An extra 3d10 acid or lightning damage on every hit would be nice, but I'm guessing it will have to be 1d10 acid, 1d10 lightning, and 1d10 cold or some DR bypass.

I've read conflicting reports on this. I've seen some people say that elemental damage augments will stack even if they are exactly the same. I've also seen some people claim that they have to be different values or different elements. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test it myself.

Your best bet might be to get 3 of the cheapest augments you can and test it before putting rarer/more expensive ones in.

Buy 3 ultra cheap ones and see if it stacks or not.

I would recommend testing with cheap ml 1 augments, and finding the answer.

If it were anything but weapon damage, the answer would definitely be no.

The thing about weapon damage, is that there are cases where holy burst can stack with the same (ToD rings). So, may require testing.

Two Fire augments on Greataxe of the Chained soldier for my barb - Both augments proc each hit.

Just logged onto lamannia and tried it with two superior shock augments on the skyvault shield. There were two entries for the shock damage visually on screen as well as in the combat log.

Bought a 13th level Mountains Fist and 2 minor acid augments, both were hitting. This could be fun!

ie do 3 x inferno/meteor/glacier whatever gems proc 3 times as much?

Most augments are Enhancement bonuses to stats so they will not stack with anything else however, one exception to this is the Globe of True Imperial Blood which grants +1 Exceptional bonus which does stack since it is a different bonus type.
