    How to Download DDO
    ----------------------

    1. Registrer to Steam.
    2. Download DDO through steam.
    3. Find the folder: Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeons and Dragons Online\Patches
    4. Copy all the files in "Patches" into the main DDO folder - overwrite all.
    5. Start DDO through Steam.
    6. Close DDO and steam.
    7. Copy the DDO folder from Steam into whereever you want the game to be.
    8. Place the startfile (dndlauncher) where you want it ("Pin to taskbar")
    9. Start the game. (By clicking the new dndlauncher)

Play the game direct (not through Steam)

    ## Thank you for NOT helping - devs and Turbine should be ashamed ##

Thanks, this worked great! (Other than there was no "Patches" folder until after step 6, and then it was empty, but i simply skipped 3 & 4)

HappyCloud downloader unable to use path.

Thank you Turbine for somehow screweing up every download process for me. Now it's over. Can't you use just ordinary well proven tools compatible with current Microsoft operative systems? DnD Anthology waits for me now. Bye as long as you always take a doawnloading tool, which never works for me.

I am fed up by using workarounds, be it Steam or anything else. ''Play free now!'' mocks PC noobs like me everytime they read it. If you want anything from your customers doublecheck compatibility ffs. Yes, I am angry. No, you cannot have my stuff. Maybe I am able to download the game some day again. Till then, bye and thanks for wasted lifetime.

    p.s.:
A stupid funny colored Nintendo picture stating ''Thanks for playing!'' won't have any effect since I was not able to play anyway, so save it for other ragequits.
