problem with launcher

ever since the last main update, I have issues with DDO launching. have never had any problems before but now it locks up at least 50% of the time on the "opening main" screen.

when I let it sit for several minutes, it will sometimes free up and run. other times I get the following message:

System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.CheckFinalStatus()
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncRes ult asyncResult)
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadFile(String address, String fileName)
at com.turbine.launcher.UserControls.PrereqInstallCon trol.GetReqSoftwareFileList()

the funny thing is, usually after responding "OK" to clear that message, the game will launch.

I noticed that the desktop short cut now points to "Turbine Launcher" on the C drive, which shows an update date of 2/13/2013. from what I have read on the forums, wondering if that should be pointing to "Turbine Invoker", also located in the programs folder on the C drive but last update date of 8/26/12.

If I kill the launcher via task manager and attempt to restart, I usually get a different error about:

System.InvalidOperationsException:Cannot call Invoke or InvokeAsync on a control until the window handle has been created.

this is on a Windows 7 platform.

any suggestions?

Mine is set for the invoker.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\TurbineInvoker.exe"

Mine shows last modified as ‎Sunday, ‎March ‎03, ‎2013, ‏‎4:57:08 PM
using the other I had problems then switched to this and no problems.

might be an issue with the Invoker not updating as mine still shows last modified date of August 2012.

anyone know a good way to get a copy of the Invoker executable without having to uninstall and reinstall the whole client?
