It's Spring! how long before the Enchancement Beta comes to Lamannia?

4th closed beta? then open beta? how many betas? when is the game officially launching then?

NWO's 4th closed beta is to polish parts that were not available in the 3rd closed beta. Specifically the Professions system and bugs found in the 3rd beta. They want it looking good before it goes to open beta. People are speculating that it will be released in June, which is around the time that DDO is supposed to be coming out with a second expansion....

If they somehow find a way to charge us for the enhancment pass (which wouldn't surprise me, and I wouldn't necessarily be against considering how much work it must be) then the Enhancement Pass better be complete, at least 90% bug free, and come with an included +20 Greater Heart for every character already in existence at the time the Pass goes through.

The reason I say we'll have to fork out is because I believe it will come with the expansion, not an update. Perhaps I'm wrong and it will be a free update but given the current trend I really doubt we won't have to pay for the enhancement pass.

A bit confused here. If we have to pay, then what happens when I do not want to pay? I m stuck with old enhancements? or without any enhancement?

I really can't see how Turbine could charge for an integral part of the game like this to be honest (Yes, I know Epic Destinies), but players have to get to 20 before they matter, whereas a new F2P player who isn't hooked yet ain't going to fork out money simply so they can build their character. They'll simply laugh and move on to the next game.

It was burned out long ago when used for the many, many, many things that were long over due. Please stop insulting our intelligence and give a legitimate reasons. Remember, we are paying customers. While I understand you (Turbine, not individually you Squeak) can't give totally inclusive explanations, you indeed could give us something worthwhile, yet choose not to.

None of this is free, and none of this gets back burner attention. Any gameplay affecting change is always on the front burner. Bugs get back burner attention.

Some enhancements will be free, but the better ones will cost (you can't train improved power attack, because you don't have enhancement pack, visit DDO store now).

Let me just state up front for any Dev's reading that if you do anything like this I'll be looking for a new game. Or simply going back to my offline ones if other MMO's are unappealing. I managed for 30 years without DDO, I'm quite sure I can manage again.

Seriously? This has been incomplete since Dec 2008. And I am curious to how you know the status of what attention level is given what. My example is real. PrEs have been incomplete for over 5 years. And it was free and is part of the free download now.

The NWO open beta begins April 30th.
Not saying it is the official launch just open beta.
The Founders get their starts 25th and 27th.
So they are calling it a soft release. No character wipes after the 25th.

Hmm. Is that a bigger font than other times? That could indicate that it is VERY soon.

Edit: Also, I am 99.99999999999999999999999999% sure that the enhancment pass will be free. Makes no sense to even keep the old system around once you get the nice fancy trees that they've been working so hard on. In truth what we have now is fiddly and not quite user freindly. The nice pretty trees might even bring in some new players.
