Character Transfer

I don't know if this has ever been proposed or not, and i am not going to dig through pages and pages of threads to see, so here goes.

it would be great to have the ability to transfer characters from one account to another. i have a second account that i turned to a Free to play account, but has one or two characters that i would like to transfer to my Pay to play account. I would be willing to pay 10 to 15 bucks to do it.

Any reason this cannot come to fruition?

As far as technical reasons it could be daunting. However, I do tend to feel like all things are possible when it comes to stuff like that.

I'm in a similar boat: I've got a 19 cleric and a 9 wizard on a seperate account that I wouldn't mind having on my big fancy account with all the content packs. Then again, the whole point of the seperate account is to dual-box.

But I can see where you are coming from. I'd like to see such a feature myself.

what would prevent from someone to steal other people characters?
or steal them, transfer any unbound/BTA items and bring them back?

it would be your own accounts. you would have to know the usernames and passwords for each. lol there would have to be an authentication process.

Been asked for before cant remember if they said they couldn't do it or wouldn't but it was answered might have been years ago

I know that you can move characters between servers for about $US25. Seems like this might be possible.

As far as this goes, I am sure there are many among us, who have multiple accounts and multiple characters. I can see the good and bad points of this thread. Yet as discussed, I would like to see if you can merge one character to another account. Sure, a premium of $US25 should be instituted. With that said though, A single account to merge all your characters from multiple accounts should be possible.

I.e. THe problem I am currently having. I wasnt always VIP, I bought most of my packs before. With that said I now have 3 accounts. To which I would like to merge because at the times I didnt know the previous 2 accounts. (lost or hacked accounts, or even just forgetting, either way they are part of the issue.) For example I have Ravenloft on one account but not the other. As well as toon upgrade that id like to merge. And I would hate to have to re-purchase all these yet again for my next characters.

The reason this is not possible is simple. Bots and Sold accounts...You may not have been around when "gold sellers" were all the rage
