Could you drop some Commendations of Heroism, next time there is an event? And? Could you make them "bound to account", rather than "bound to character"? I mean, after all, a thousand "bound" to one Character is overkill. I estimate that each character really only needs about 100 or so, at most? The rest just take up space. Unless of course, you have plans on doing something else, with them.
If one character picks up 1000, then they can divide them amongst their other characters. If we are going to try things out, for the devs to guage their effects on the game? Wouldn't it be better for the testing capabilities? Just sayin'.
And remember, "Now I ain't complainin', . . . but, . . ." heheheh (Trademarked)

Except my ISP limits my broadband speed, because I'm in a rural district. It's a profitability issue, for them. When everybody is there, it takes a while to logout and login. By the time I get back, they're taken or gone. Everything isn't equal, in the hinterlands.
Unfortunately, I do not have control over the binding status of items, so I am not able to make BTC items BTA. However, I am currently looking into a way to make BTC items (Commendations, Tokens of the Twelve, and other ingredients) more available on Lamannia. It will likely take me a while since I have ran into an issue, but I think I will be able to get it working.
Thanks for the reply, Squeak. I wil keep that in mind, always.
First? I just celebrated my 35th year of playing D&D on April 1, of this year. I have been a DM for the last 33 years. My original gaming group had restrictions on how Players & DMs were developed. They brought them along slowly and wanted the experience to be enjoyable. I spent the first year learning how to be a good Player. Then I was paired with an experienced DM to develop my Campaign building skills, through the next year. It was frustrating at first, but I grew to understand why.
It was so the gaming experience would be enjoyable and less disappointing for all the players. I also watched the game change from a majority of male Players to what we have today; a good mixture of male and female Payers. After all, it began as a Social Experience, for Mr. Gygax and his friends. Then it was turned into a business. Most of those original Players have turned their own kids into D&D Gamers and now they are playing the game with their grandkids, as well. Imagine that! It can be used to influence the "modern family" and allow granparents to have more of an influence in their progenies lives. And through DDO? They aren't always subjected to the "funny smell" of their Grandparents.
Second? DDO is a business, as well and I recognize that. Therefore I can see the need for "bound to character" restrictions on the Live Servers, to maintain Game Balance and so they can make a good profit. After all, I believe in capitalism and am all for it, so long as it isn't a detriment to society, itself. And this is a "society of gamers. And we all try to support it by spending our hard earned dollars, here.
Third? What is the purpose of Lamannia? Mainly to help the devs find the bugs and gauge the effect new items and other things will have on the Live Servers. It also has a side benefit for the VIP players, as well. They can experiment with all the myriad options of the game and develop the best Character Building skills for the Live Servers. On Lamannia we don't have to spend our dollars, because we are here to help the Devs, make the best game on the web. I fully support that idea, because I want to continue playing the game, until I am no longer mentally or physically capable to do so and bring the younger generation along, as well.
So? In keeping with the tradition of my own D&D experiences, which I also learned from Mr. Gygax, at a few "Gen Cons"? I am merely making a suggestion as to how the Devs could be helped in their long and unending quest to improve the game online, for its paying customers. That's all it was; a suggestion and nothing more. Also keep in mind, that not everyone has access to the highest possible broadband access, nor the top-of-the-line equipment to play the game. Some people are restricted to dealing with old computers, until they just give up the ghost, so to speak, due to limited incomes, in today's global economy.
I do appreciate your input though and welcome all other advice, as well. Squeak and Kookiekobold have responded to my "in Lamanna" requests often and I am greatly appreciative of that and to all the Devs who work on the game.

Cevon - Nature's Arrow (17 Dru/2 Mnk/1 Wiz HE AA), Shorlong - Pale Master (18 Wiz/2 Monk)
Gorgnak - Frenzied Barbarian, Krazig - Dark Knight Paladin
Xanapheia - Fighting Soul (18 FvS/2 Ftr), Addanc - Bearbarian Tank (12 Dru/6 Ftr/2 Brb)
Thelanis - Leader of The Dark Creed
If it was easy for them to switch btX and unbound, I am sure they would do so on Lam. The only problem is when they prepare to switch the build to the live servers.
In many of the companies I have worked in, I have seen the effects of not properly setting the configuration for these kinds of flags. It can be devestating for both the company and the clients who use the program.
I am sure Squeak will come up with a solution that will include other areas and help most. One thing you may find is lam only commendations on the lam store.

Hey Squeak, it seems the guide has wandered off again, would you mind bringing him back? :P
Also Squeak, if you have a second... could you update the current Lama build to one with the new enhancement update, tell Glin if he's now the executive producer that it would be nice if he could post to the forums more than once per year (I miss Madfloyd - Did he go to the INFINITE CRISIS team?), and give us some sort of glimpse into the next update's content? I'm guessing it's Update 18 then long delay then new Expansion (which you won't call update 19 at first but then you will).
K thx.
(Though if you did all that you'd have to change your forum name to SqueakOfTriumphantness).
