Default Query on what In-game GM's can do

If someone gets stuck can an Ingame GM use commands to move them after if they get put in the wrong place

    EG:

Von 5 end Fight someone get stuck at the door inside the room they use /stuck and it moves them outside and can't get back in because the fight was started..

would the GM's be allowed to move then there?

    if not why?
    Sig to come

    What GMs can do:
    • say they can't assist you.
    • ask you to fill bug report
    • close the ticket.

Ya, I'm getting a bit fed up with the Admin's attitude lately. I've had the same bug hit me twice, a week apart. One GM fixed it, the second named +Oasdavir+ did exactly what you quoted above. It's like it's you have a 50% chance the Admin will help you for problems you know they can fix, but mostly they are lazy and uncaring.

Perhaps it is karma that they aren't helping you... Nice. Personally, I have had several recent quick helps from GMs after the interruption bug borked quest objectives. Ex. Torch lit in Shadow King but didn't log. Level in Shadow Crypt flipped but didn't "complete". Within 3 minutes, GM came in and completed the quest, full XP, chests looted...

Maybe they cross referenced your forum accounts...

would the GM's be allowed to move then there?

    if not why?
I guess this is a particular tricky element. If the player in question wouldn't had used '/stuck' the GM would probably assisted to help this player out, as '/stuck' always put you back on the last know valid position, which in this case is outside the room.

The point is that a GM may only be able to verify the actual state of the game/quest/raid. So he probably has no tool to verify if that player just arrived late and want to skip directly to the end chest or VON6, or if the player is in the quests since the start and just happened to be unlucky. As there are sadly players who use a GM to skip content without contribution, they are probably advised to not assist in this case.

The other point is that the status of the quest was consistent and not broken after the player had used '/stuck'. What I mean is that this situation is like the same as like if half of the party rush in the room and start the fight while the other half is still somewhere else. They would be locked out as well which is very bad but a regular and intended mechanic of the quest/raid.

So I guess no, in this particular case I guess the GM would refuse.

    What GMs usualy don't do?
    • Raise dead players (use a cake, re-enter)
    • They don't return item

What can GMs do however? Examples may include:
    • They may unstuck player (however they probably ask to use /unstuck instead)
    • They may unstuck monsters (e.g. raid bosses that teleport into the wall)
    • They may complete/validate an objective if they are able to verify that all pre-required objectives have been accomplished, but due to a bug/issue the quest didn't advanced.

The later is tricky as it really depends on the circumstances and how clearly they can be validated (e.g. a pulled lever, solved puzzle). Also it may depend on the clearing level of that GM, e.g. if it is a junior or senior GM. There is no common rule what they can and what not, it is nearly always an in-time decision on the particular case.

    * We have collectable bags, mind you, even hireling folders, but can I have that 6-pack for my potions please?
    * Having already a past life on the dieng EU servers, I rerolled here and started from scratch as I like the game and the community, so lets see what awaits me here
