Default Does shapeshifting benefit from #[W]

I.e. when wielding epic weapons, does a winter wolf's [1d10] 19-20x3 become 2[1d10] when wielding a 2[w] scimitar, for example?

Also, has anyone done any tests to see if 12/8 monk/druid works with Improved Martial Arts? In other words, can I expect all +[W] unarmed effects to work the same way on a shapeshifted druid as they would with an unarmed monk?

    Thanks for the advice.

As far as I've been able to tell, no.

I wondered about that myself a while ago and tested it. Purely unscientific just going by what the average numbers I was seeing were. I had two weapons, both were essentially the same but one had increased weapon dice and switching between them seemed to yield about the same numbers. I was in Wolf Form at the time.

Whether that's WAI or not I have no idea and I will admit that I tested it a good while ago so my information may be out-dated by this point.

I believe Handwraps work though. No idea if Monk levels are required for that though my Druid is pure.

Default I will try to test this as soon as possible

    But can't currently.

If it's true that augmented/epic dice have no effect on shapeshifted damage, I feel that's either very unbalanced or a terrible oversight in development.

Agreed and I can't imagine it is WAI.

From what I can tell... only handwraps will give you increased weapon die. If you are a pure druid , reinforced fists (The half a die step equipment buff to damage) won't transfer if you are using wraps.

I know I wish we could get the increased weapon steps transfered from weapons to the 'form damage dice.' Would help pure melee druids keep up in damage!

As long as i play Druid 17 / 3 Monk and stay centered whit handwraps all the w dice boost works. I am at the moment on 4.0[1d10] +24 attack. Other than handwraps dont work from what i can tell.
    Also reinforced fist works.

Do not know about pure druid i am happy whit my Stunning Paws

No, but I've read if you have a wooden weapon equipped and cast Shillelagh on it, the +[W] from the spell will carry over into animal-form. Have not tested this for myself, though, and don't know if it's considered WAI.

Even if it does, stopping at druid lvl 8 means no Natural Fighting feats, which costs you up to 18% doublestrike. At that point, it seems like you'd better off making an unarmed drunk, not a drunk wolf.
