Starter Pack - Gold Seal Hire Question

All other gold seal hires allow summoning at 2 levels below the hire's level. Yet this Lvl 3 hire is ML:3.

I bought this pack to use with my TR. Now I can't use it as intended.

When is this going to be fixed?

This is like selling a 4-door sedan where the buyer later finds out that two of the four doors are welded shut.

I'm tempted to phone support and harass them for a refund.

I'm pretty sure the Devs don't intend two Permanent Gold Seal Elieri hirelings to be active at the same time. That's just a guess since currently in game you can't have both a PP and the Permanent Gold Seal at the same time. Blah!

I know there's alot of complaining about various things about the Starter Pack, but I was really hoping that the incorrect ML would be corrected or at least acknowledged by now. I pretty much bought the Starter Pack just for use of the hireling as soon as I create or TR my toons. As I mentioned above, the current hireling is a PP hireling that can be called anywhere in the quest and not a Gold Seal one.

honestly, I would feel upset and ripped off. I assume the hire isn't supposed to be min level 3? if its intended, I would feel like I wasted my money because that limits the hire to a max of 3 levels instead of 5. if its not intended, the fix will be soon™.

Not sure how the cleric works... but you can have multiple panther hirelings in a group at the same time.

When you buy a standard gold seal hireling, you can summon it when you are at 2 lvls below the Hire's lvl.
So if you bought Elieri on a standard gold seal contract with Astral Shards, say, you would be able to use that gold seal lvl 3 hireling when your character was at lvl 1.


I just TRed, in the one day that a level 3 gold seal hireling would have been useful to me (and I do not zerg), I was only able to use it for a short period before it became underlvl.
Yeah, I could continue to use it, and use it with a standard hire, but why would I? I was lvl 1 yesterday, I'm now at lvl 5. That short window of real usefulness is gone.

Shame on me. I really should know better. I'd get a better deal and more accountability from a used car dealer than from Turbine.

I still don't see an answer as to why this hireling (who is supposed to be a "starter" can't be summoned by first level characters.

I'm brand new to the game, and bought the Starter Package as part of a group of sale buys on Black Friday. I'm a bit disappointed as to how this Starter Package is handled. I thought the package was good across all game worlds - the hireling is not showing up in all worlds. It would also be helpful if more information about the scorpion were available to a new player - I assumed the critter would help me fight, not just make noise and walk around with me. I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out if the scorpion's moves or something else needed to be activated to fight!
