Thanks for the tip on the Combat Chat Feedback, I'll try that 'cos the lag in Eveningstar for me (Sarlona) is so bad that I never go there any more.

    TWICE.
Have you been ensuring that all of your party members have the combat logging turned off? Too often when just 1 person in my party has it on their lag affects the entire party. When I ensure everyone has it off I've not had the perma lag.

PS It would be nice for Turbine to acknowledge some of these issues and work with the users to resolve. And on a separate note I noticed the lower population servers don't have any posts up complaining about lag.

    do you play on orien?
do you raid regularly (eg every saturday)?
if so what raids do you do?
Do you know what i mean when I say i2049 is FUBAR?

The only feasable way the lag were discussing here could be caused by some one having a slow/old pc is if the code is designed such that if one person lags out every one does - That is not the case for ddo - people can DC and every one else can cary on fine under normal circumstances. What were suffering with here is something different - and honeslty its probly hung sever code....appearing as network latency.

    I agree btw.
Instance lag is unacceptable. Even if they want to blame one computer in the raid or group that is unacceptable and should not happen. In other words, one computer should not ruin it for the others. Unacceptable and it has been really bad. The worst I have seen. What ever their reasons and excuses I bet there is a way to fix it... if Turbine/WB spends the money for the gear to do it... just like we do to upgrade.
Your lack of healing amp not my problem. Please buy and use your own remove curse pots in combat, so I don't waste mana. Not my job.

I don't even enjoy raiding anymore because of the lag. The last 3 times I have attempted to run Fall of Truth, on 3 different days, several times throughout the raid there are 2+ minutes periods of time where nobody can move or do anything, and several people or the whole group wipes. Dumping the bad instances doesn't even solve anything anymore.

Trust me man, them big evil spikes happen a heck of a lot more in raids than they do in normal questing(some times it feels like you rolled a 20 to get an instance that DOESNT lag out) . Atleast you know what im on about here tho, fairy snuff.

    Default This server sucks

I was lag killed at first level in the cannith crystal quest. grrr frustrating!
Tonight i didn't even try playing, just shopping coz i could barely move trough the lag.

More players on the server = more lag
Bigger groups (example raids of 12) = bigger lag
Solution, everyone stops playing DDO, no more lag.

    Turbine!!!
When you create a game for groups of players, make sure groups of players can actually PLAY!

    I cannot get back in.

I'm stuck loading the client at "cleaning up old connection."

    <sarcasm>
It is all your comps, the installation of DDO you have, internet problems, etc etc. Servers are fine.
