Seriously we have arti dogs, and druid wolf packs but still no familiars?

Can a Wizard get a wizard's eye please? you have those floaty eyeball summons (which creep me the heck out btw but that's a whole other story). Yet this spell which is situational at best but id love it just for the King's forest alone is not in there?

You also have the mechanic where when a pet of an arti dies they suffer from it, the way I see it is a familiar would have that penalty without the chance of an enhancement cancelling it out. Unlike pets you do not own a familiar you summon it and if you are lucky it chooses to do your bidding.

I can barely take that we dont get wizards hats (shoots Elminster a dirty look) But after 7 years this is one of the top three things I still would like to see even more so now with the other classes having their companions. What I wouldn't give to have my quasit following Kal or imp you can make it happen Turbine.

And, guess which would be more powerful, full accest to both lines, or dumb squishy wolf?

I would like to see familiars, but unfortunately, wizard and sorcerer are f2p classes, so its not gonna happen.

Sorry but it's plainly obvious that Rangers get the Two Weapon Fighting line in DDO for one reason and one reason only...

Rangers deserver their animal companions even if they do end up being Flavour only - Let's face it they couldn't possibly be any worse than The Iron Defender line of Enhancements which we still see people use from time to time.

They'd probably be at least as good as Pale Master Pets currently are {I'd settle for this}.

Hopefully they'd be the same as the Druid pets - But that would probably eat into Druids too much.


As for Paladins - I want my Steed!

Exactly they cannot just give companions to some classes and not, and unfortunately the only way to make this happen may take an unpopular decision.

Fine since the classes who do not have their normal companions are free to play make it where we have to purchase the ability either with Destiny stuff, or TP I just want Familiars now and I fully understand that a cash grab maybe needed.

And heck yes if we keep getting places as expansive as The King's forest then we definitely may need to consider real mounts and with griffons allegedly on the way...hmm my pally riding a griffin ^_^

There's a lot about wizards that ought to happen in a vacuum.

But then I log onto my wizard after playing on my fighter or monk for a long time, and I feel really embarrassed asking for anything of any kind for my wizard. I even feel a little guilty asking for a Wail fix. We all know how Turbine handles things, let's just keep our heads in our spellbooks and try to keep their attention elsewhere.

Wish granted, but you can never put them into your backpack, they draw 100% aggro by proccing random magical effects without warning, and the damage done to their masters on death is subject to dungeon scaling.

While I respect your longing need... I do not share it. The last thing I want on my wizard is a pointy hat, but only slightly behind that is a freakin' pet.

What I do want is for my wail to be fixed and for reasonable DCs to be reachable at end game with decent gear (reasonable+decent does NOT mean 6+ past lives and every last scrap of the perfect gear possible and still needing to waste 3 spells prepping for an "instant" kill).
