Default Who is going to put up their EE items on the ASAH?

... for astral shards where their only real purpose is to spend them gambling on a gold chest for 15 astral shards a pop for a 1/100 chance to get something half decent (which may then only be worth a couple hundred points).

    Ill pass.

Why? When instead I could do 1:1 item trades, or trade for TP codes without anyone taking a 30% cut.

Indeed. Expect some imminent announcement on TP code trading...

Well, the ability to sell equipped BtCoE items is nice. Especially with the slew of BtCoE heroic gear that is not going to fit into my bank. So there's at least this use. Instead of thrashing the item, someone can give me astral shards for it. That's actually pretty cool.

Actually, I think the best use will be to try and trade bound gear between
alts and alternate accounts. Should be some good opportunities for snipers.

It's too engrained, most people on my server know who to talk to if they want to sell anything for TP codes.

Shifting the rules at this point would just be money grabbing, whilst creating cheaters out of people abiding by the current rules.

I agree with this, though do you remember when named loot used to be unbound, even after being equipped? Wonder why that's all changed...

There is either a valid game-design reason why mediocre items are BtCoE or not. If there is, then selling them for TP-related currency is a naked cashgrab and shameful. If there is not, then the items should be unbound.

I support much of what Turbine does to raise money to keep the game afloat but this reeks of greed. Changing a loot system to be more grindy then selling the answer is punishing players and bad form.

There's still all those quivers of poison I have that I looted and bound to me because they hate me.

Right now I believe that would be dependent upon what items they have for purchase with a$tral$.

I haven't gone looking at that list in detail myself.

Not sure how I feel about this practice in general yet, but I could see this being an easy way to expand into other bound loot, namely legacy epic shards and seals.

Are astral shards useful for getting the purified essences for crafting like the diamonds are? If so, the really determined crafters might. I am at 137/140/137 and have hit the wall of purified essences for getting higher. And the tome turn in keeps breaking for me. It may not be a mass offering of items, but you might find some from people like me hoping to get those last few points.

I could see using it to sell bound items that I have since upgraded and don't use anymore. The premium stuff that is unbound will still sell via trading channel I imagine.

I see it as a used item market for bound items that have no value to the original seller anymore.

The only reason that I can see is to trade an item that you equipped and used, and now don't want anymore. Or perhaps to "sell to yourself" to move a bound item between alts.

This is what I expect to see... It was "overlooked" before because at least Turbine was getting money for the TP, but now that they have a way to get money for the shards and get 30% of the sale. Yeah, I'm fulling expecting them to outlaw TP trades now.

As far as I'm concerned, the shard house does not exist.

I will never partake of something that treats its customers with such brazen contempt.

I doubt that many players will use it. Better deals can be had in trade channels or via known buyers/sellers. Just because someone at HQ wanted this, was not justification to implement it with such a large fee.

    .
Actually they are also really handy for things like feat resets that aren't bound by the normal delay time. I'm sure more will be added in time.

But no, I wouldn't use the AS AH because the cut is WAY too high. I'd rather just trade the TP codes in the forums, better deal for everyone.

Then I expect to see a SEVERE reduction in their TP sales.
