Aura affects summons?!

I seem to have missed all news about this up until seeing it myself.

In the SS (if it worked) that is MY elemental. I summoned it myself. Looking forward to seeing if it works on hirelings as well!

How long has that been going on? Is there any sense in me bug reporting it?

It doesn't kick in on hirelings, and summons are so completely gimped weak that this doesn't make any difference.

Go ahead and bug report it, but don't expect it to be fixed this decade. I'm still waiting for the promised conversion of the FvS aura into a toggle. That promise was made about a week after the AoV enhancements went live. Crickets chirping since then.

For my questing purposes, from about level 16 the Augmented Summons are quite interesting... especially those from the Shard of Xoriat (Beholder/Mind Flayer at least) and the Bezekira and Hezrou. This is why I am sad.

Yeah. If only there was a way this feature could be used for the players benefit... have to start thinking! That would get it fixed with more priority!

The aura is deactivated if you are in sneak mode? I know that is not a toggle...

Yes, that was their workaround for the aura aggroing everything under the sun while sneaking/invis.

But I can't run while sneaking, and invis for everyone but pure vulkoor drow is a heavily resource intensive activity.

Plus, whenever the Mabar cloak kicks in, your aura shuts off. Highly annoying.
