I know there's a lot to improve on when it comes to managing raids in-game, but I have a special request for the next forgotten realms raid you make.
Make special cutscenes based on whether the party is victorious or is defeated. To start with, players should have the option of always skipping these cutscenes in the options menu once they've seen it once. Just how some players dont care or like the end scene with Ana punishing Lolth in Caught in the Web, some players dont care or would like to view a cutscene if they wipe or succeed in a raid.
There should be two types of victory cutscenes for this next raid: One where you take on a lesser challenge and succeed(Perhaps a sacrificial victory?), and another where you take on a greater challenge and succeed.
The defeat cutscene should be something unique: In this scene, this music plays while a NPC (Maybe Elminster or a senior Purple Dragon Knight?) narrates on how your party's defeat has doomed the forgotten realms and ebberon. While they walk through the rubble and ruins of your party during the narration, they notice something in the rubble: A voice of the master! The person picks it up and looks at it; they stare at it briefly, reminding them of the faint hope your party had at driving lolth from the forgotten realms. Then something catches their attention, making them lower the trinket and look towards the horizon; a black unholy mass is seen diverging on a major city in the Forgotten Realms, signifying that Lolth's forces now have no resistance conquering all of the Forgotten Realms, thus dooming everything to a horrific death.
For once, I would like to see a unique outcome to both when the party succeeds and fails in a raid. And of course, once they see it, they dont have to view it over and over again if they don't like it. Sound cool?
