Uh...first, 3 runs is still a pain. Especially on inferno when you don't know it.

And it's still not a guarantee. Took me six runs on inferno to get the right frame on my latest life that I've flagged, and then I had all but the left pincer...took me another 4-5 ghosts runs to pick that up.

I agree about the relics. I just don't remember them being as much of a pain since I bought most of mine.

By the way, I love abbot and the way it fails a lot. One of the few raids left with any actual strategy/coordination required.

Oh and the Orchard crashing. Doesn't happen to me but I see many friends who crash with alarming regularity and I would be ticked if it happened to me.

It takes an hour to solve yourself, then you know it well and can do 7-8 minute runs.
I'm the complete opposite, I find Maze of Madness and VoN2 maze to be rather easy. The former being "just try all the levers until you pull the right one" and the latter being "pick a direction and go, if its wrong, pick another direction." I've never had to use any sort of walkthrough for either of them. As for Trial by Fury, I never considered that one to be a maze. Inferno, on the other hand, if I haven't done it in a while, I need to use a map.

I also dislike it because of how PUG unfriendly that quest is. The last several PUG groups hit red alert because of a lack of agreement on where to go. I've gotten into the habit of soloing that quest because of this.

    Mephits are your friend

Edit: Also, for those who have difficulty with Inferno, find a walkthrough map on the internet and then post a link on your Myddo page. You can then access the map from MyDDO in game and not have to alt-tab.

It took you two years to revisit an adventure pack that you hate. How did we know you were going to offer the same drivel as last time?

The quests are generally easy, and so is the raid. But there's the rub... you need to have a clue or bring someone along that does. You know the whole party thing? A lot of Necro 4 was designed for it. Not that you can't solo it, but in some cases it's easier with a party (switches in Fleshmakers for example).

Litany is easily solo'd in ~10 minutes on hard, on elite it always seems to take me 14-15. And it's massive XP.

With sigil pieces dropping in the Orchard rare chests it's pretty easy to get the sigil pieces now. In fact you can avoid Ghosts of Perdition and Inferno by simply farming rats and wagons if you really want to.

I agree with posters above that state the reason that Necro 4 is a great pack because it requires you to think, use teamwork and have some skill. Only one other raid has these kind of requirements and that would be the Titan raid (Restless Isles).

Bring a few friends in when you farm for it, I've never had to repeat it more than twice unless I needed xp.

As for finding your way thru it, you can pull up the wiki or do what I did, wander around it one day on normal, if you explore it once or twice you'll know it, it's basically just moving clockwise (slightly simplified explanation)

    edit*
As for the crashing seems to happen to those with a 32bit os, probably related to either not enough memory or the memory leak issue.

Jump on top of the torches. When the mephit does its breath attack, it will work to light/extinguish the torch every time.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.

Necro IV is the worst pack I own, and I own most of the mid levels and all of the high level packs.

I've owned this pack for over a year and was so put off by the first 1x run through the quests that I never went back to finish the sigil and have never run the raid. looking at the raid loot, it's all of limited value anyway.

This is one of my absolute favorite packs. The quests actually have variety, and take some thought (though mind you still not much). Great xp at level. The flagging is a bit obtuse, but i've never had issues with it with how much i run the quests. I hope they don't change a thing about it, personally.

You reckon a Barb is going to leave mephits alive long enough to find a use for them?

BTW: you mention a group gathering sigils, but for someone who solo's you could run them half a dozen times each, and do all the rares a couple of times and still fall short.

Its a bad game mechanic because the drops are so random.

What's the point of playing mmorpg solo?
