Default Split Sorrowdusk chain in two

Sorrowdusk Isle chain is long and repetitive. Furthermore, completing the entire thing can take a long time and it's hard to keep a group together for it. So here is my suggestion:

Split the chain into two sections, in which the quests you get from Elder Bruku (sp?) are in one chain, and the quests you get from the ogre chieftain are in another. Completing the first quest chain is not a requirement for the second. Not sure how the end reward loot would be split up, though...

    Kinda already is.
You need to complete the first half to access the second. but once you do, you can reset just the second half, so no reason to run the first half again if you don't want to. The second part is actually called Cult of Six

All I recall is that any sort of veteran group would spend more time running back and forth to the quest givers in many of the quests than they would spend time in many of those quests. The wilderness zone would more often than not stay cleared of mobs (i.e. less than 5 minutes), unless there was some reason to seek out complete ransack and conquest where possible.

The four quests on the lower side of the island can be done in most likely an hour or so, even with breaking everything. I was just running them last night in 3 player crew on elite (cleric, druid and artificer) and we blew thru the bottom side quests with lots of time to spare.

Yes there are a number of quests in series, but the amount of repetition is not that high, especially when compared to a quest series like Tangleroot. One part used to be a super EXP run that could be completed in about 1 minute as I recall, until they started putting in closed doors everywhere.... Even still it does not take long.

Far more important things for the developers to concern themselves with than messing around with a quest series that is not in real need of it. (Other than perhaps tweaking up of the loot.)

It's fine the way it is.
The way it USED to be was that you had to complete greymoon waning everytime to run Co6. Then they changed it so that once you've run Greymoon Waning once you can run Co6 over and over again without going back to Greymoon.

    Greymoon Waning-> 1 chain
Cult of the Six -> 1 chain

You get an end reward at the end of each chain.

If you are asking to remove the prereq of Greymoon, I guess that would be ok, but kinda a pointless thing to spend time on. You can run that chain pretty quickly if you need to get someone flagged. It's a lot of running around, I agree, but in the big scheme of things, not so big.

    /signed to making Co6 a split-off chain.

I usually run these chains at levels 8 and 10 on TR2's for something different to do. I solo the second chain more often than not as many PUGgers are hesitant to join and redbox it.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

While I agree with those that said the OP's suggestion isn't nessesary, removing the flag requirement for the 2nd chain would open some PUG options, which I think would be good.
I can be found on Orien as Cilon
HC7: Typhoon, Dreaded Knight, and Wish. HC6: Naivety. HC5: Who Is Here. HC4: Cylon Centurian. HC3: Soulstone in Your Pack. HC2: Carnage

I keep making this suggestion I know...

    BUT...

The Adventure Compendium needs a complete redo by the Devs!

There are loads of quests that would be revitalised simply by being moved to a different level! {And NO I'm not talking about making 3 Barrel Lvl 15 etc - which I personally feel would completely ruin that pack!}.

As for Sorrowdusk - I feel that this is one of the simplest changes the devs could make...

    Just swap Grey Moon 1 & 2 {Currently Lvl 6} with Tangleroot's Yarkuch quests {Currently Lvl 7}!

Tangleroot is then 3-6, Sorrowdusk is 7-10 - Far better than the Current situation of 3-7 and 6-10!

Even better would be to also move Pt 1 and 2 of Tangleroot to Lvl 4 BUT that's Tangleroot NOT Sorrowdusk!

the only complaint I actually have with the chain is that the levels are increased as you progress through the chain. the first 2 quests in the chain starts at 6, than the last 2 are 7. same deal for the next chain. starts at 8 than ends at 10. would be nice if the first chain was all level 6 or 7, than the next chain was all level 8, 9 or 10. I feel the same way about Tangleroot, Deleras and STK. I always stay 2 levels above the base quest level, so im always having to stop in the middle and pick it up again later. I wont join a group that is running the entire chain. if there were to be some kind of change like that though, it would upset the xp balance unless more quests were added to fill the holes. level 6 quests are actually lacking if you did just 1 and done in that range because, like Grey Moon Waning, the xp is quite low and they are mostly very short runs.
