    Default Successful AFK shower.

Join pug for EH von 5/6.

Guildie, on his 18 Sorc / 2 Ranger is rejected. Whatever, no biggie, his lfm. The justification of 'sorry need healers' would even have flown had he not accepted 2 non-healers significantly after my guildie's application before rejecting him and giving that excuse in a tell.

Then the leader swaps to get something from another toon and someone else puts up the lfm in the meantime. Guildie re-applies and is accepted! A triumph for the forces of 'it's epic hard, don't discriminate because it's not very difficult'.

Eventually we get in, well 1 person goes in. A fighter, and he is rapidly reduced to 30/1000 hp. I zone in and notice 3 zombies chasing him around the central area. Other pug members have also zoned in and are ineffectually chasing the zombies with sticks.

After being saved, the fighter says, "Out of heal scrolls". I think, "Oh. Respect to him. Good UMD on a pure fighter is pretty cool." In about 10 minutes I'll notice he has re-entered without saying anything and be less impressed.

Midway through, someone DCs for a while. Someone else says, "Don't boot him give him a chance." A while later that same person says "boot him". As we finally ascend the last wing the same person says, "Please re-invite 'dc'd person'." A second re-entry is obviously no biggie.

Quite a while after that last person was re-invited and we have all been gathered in the final room with the dwarf for about 5 minutes. I /who him and discovered he is still on his airship. I relate this to the group.

This person, still on his airship, announces he has another guildie still coming though! Without saying anything, I afk shower. I am back in time to begin writing this post for a few minutes before we begin the final fight.

    Epilogue:
Success on von 5. Dragon goes without issue apart from our leader falling to his doom in the marketplace below after the pillars are destroyed.
    Khyber: Aggrim (Completionist!)
In Von 3 the breakables in the Troll Ambassador optional room are slow to get to and unnecessary for ransack.
    Blind insta-kills floating eye balls.

There's nothing worse than wasting people's time.
"Get your behind here and let's start the bloody raid/quest like NOW ! "

I still think that the "If you fall down, you will have wasted your time with no way to get back in" is a failure of design.

There was a reason I refused to join that lfm. Now you too can see why

Though one of my favorites in the long list of antics by said raid leader was insisting that they could kite/tank shadows on their sorc and wiping a tod twice in a row. That was more fun than getting squelched because my bard has an ESOS.

Esos hate me, so I hate Esos? Hmm. I can relate to that

Anyway, more seriously and on topic: Nicely /afkshowered!

Had a similar experience about a week ago with an Elite Shroud.

LFM was for a hard shroud...

I joined...then they decided to do an elite.

Most of the party was first life toons that were not even level 20 yet (its not that being a first lifer matters...its that they would be under geared that bothered me).

Most people's HP was below 400.

The other "healer" was a level 18 WF FVS with 400 HP.

I politely said that I had something come up and dropped group.

The party leader asked why I dropped.

I told them that the group was not ready for an Elite Shroud and that I did not want to solo-heal a 7 round PUG Elite Shroud where people lacked DR- breakers.

He said that there was a FVS there.

I pointed out that he would try to melee Harry and eat a fireball to the face and be dead within 30 seconds on Harry dropping...then I would be guzzling pots to keep the squishies alive.

He then said that he had done over 10 Shrouds and he knew what he was doing...

I kept talking to him over the next 90 minutes until they wiped in part 5.

They wiped in part 4...but a Wizard soloed the last 3 rounds by guzzling pots.

They wiped in part 5...and by this time the Wizard just teleported out and dropped without saying a word.

Anyway, the party leader then said they only wiped because that Wizard didn't raise people up and keep going....

Yeah...I felt like I dodged a bullet. But part of me wished I would have went in just to watch all my predictions come true...

Instead I did an EVoN 5/6 and pulled ANOTHER Shard of the Stonemeld Plate (yay?)

i still think that the "everybody can solo epic raids or quest in epic elite" is a failure of mmo-rpg design

doesn't matter the gear or the pl, with shears of fate or patience, they are even easier than with a full group
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

Good read sir. We all know how hard it can for us ddo addicts to pull ourselves away from the computer for such things as bathing and sleeping. Very tough achievement indeed!
