Relics in epic GH explorer

Found these little head jobbies that were named "relics" and "drops on leaving" ... I didn't spend too long out there in the zone, but did find a few of these - what do they do?

Also, anyone got a map up yet?

For an event where you can turn them into Brawnpits in gianthold. I don't know what he gives for them though, as I have never found the relics yet.

Well, they drop if you leave the zone. Maybe one of the rares uses them?

There are 4 rare encounters in Gianthold (as distinguished from monster rares). One involves Brawnpits, and you have to bring him three of the giant heads.

For each one relic you bring him, he drops a chest containing one of the different restored relics. Bring back three giant heads, get a chest with one of each restored relic. Enjoy!

Sweet. Got any clue where we can find Brawnpits on the map?

He will appear randomly in several areas, not there all the time. I usually find him southwest along the trail to Madstone, but he can be found just about anywhere. good luck, hope you find him.

he is indeed random, but he gives decent loot.

I've traded 3 heads for 3 chests 4 times now, and each time it seems (seems!) that the 3rd chest gives a higher loot rate. I've had 2 inbound +3 tomes, a GFL /+6 str belt with a slot, and really nice G/axe (+6 paralyser???)
no proof of this of course, just a theory
