and I think its ninja time Mizzaroo some of my girls I hadn't played in a while so I do not know exactly what outfits they are missing just that they now have an empty slot, others had pretty nice ones that I can probably re craft but im not going to bother if they are going to disappear again.

Okay, so, the ninjas will cost... about 5 million dollars and 99 cents. Plus tax. So... well split it 50/50? ;D

I bet It is looking like the icon and gfx change moved the item to a different ID, and wiped all the old, non-existant ones.

Nah. The outfits are there, somewhere, sitting in the DB all orphaned and alone. I can well imagine the AH now uses a completely different method for displaying outfit previews which overlooks <gasp> null checking. The inventory displays, however... Oh, that Feather!

We are aware that randomly-generated outfits (aka - not named) have disappeared from the game worlds. We are currently working to address this through a hotfix, and will provide more information and detail as soon as it becomes available.

Yup - found a nice one last week and stuck it in my shared bank. Checked today as I was cleaning up and it looked funky, tried to click and drag it to the inventory and poof

When I log with my monk character I see that I have on my cosmetic armor kit but not my armor!

It was a +7 Deathblock outfit and I buy a cosmetic kit for it, now what? I lost my armor and th cosmetic kit?

im pretty sure items are still there as a code but not as an icon. i have noticed indeed if i roll my cursor over the now (appearently) empty hotbar slot where my outfit was used to be, i recieve a "item not longer available on examination" message. this thing repeats itself even after relogging and we know if the slot was actually empty for real, the message wouldnt pop on relog. still, it's a pineapple in the *** to be a low/mid lev outfit user at the moment.

Well, I get no such message. Its almost like my outfit was nothin but a figment of my own imagination. Which wouldnt be too surprising. Except Im pretty sure it WAS there. I think. Now, to find where I left that cheese wheel...

Yupyup. Theyre all gone. Well, not the named ones. But all the other ones. We just gotta sit tight and see what happens.

If they're unable to restore the missing outfits we're all going to get a quick economics lesson on the principles of supply and demand. As of this moment no magical outfits exist in all of Eberron...so for those of us that often upgrade using the Auction House...uh oh!! Everyone will need good ones for themselves...which will delay quality outfits making it to the AH... Those will get scooped up quickly at inflated prices due to limited availability....

And another tragic bi-product: cheap, low quality imitations being imported from Three Barrel Cove and Sorrowdusk where poor kobolds are forced to work in over-crowded sweat-shops for 3 cp a week. So then they start stowing away hoping to find a better life on the mainland only to end up bunking with their distant cousins in the Waterworks..leading to a serious overcrowding situation. Vicious cycle.

1) Looks like I may have spoken without full knowledge, sorry about that. It looks like Cannith crafted outfits are also affected, and I have edited my previous statement to remove the reference to crafted not being affected.

Otherwise, yes, any randomly-generated outfit, whether it be in the Auction House, bank, shared bank, etc, is affected by this bug.

Any word as to whether the items go poof upon your character entering the world versus being poofed from the DB the moment the servers went live?

Put differently, can I avoid the loss by refusing to log in until the issue is resolved (my current plan), or are the items already gone?
