Unable to post auctions

I post auctions regularly, and for some reason today whenever I put an item into the AH to post, the "post auction" option is greyed out, no matter what the item is (random non-bound gear). I am well below the limit for the number of allowed auctions i'm allowed to have posted at once. This is what appears, everything's normal except the post button is greyed out and there seems to be a slight distortion in the thumbnail image of the item being auctioned. (Note that the "this item cannot be auctioned" error in my chat box is from when i tried to put in a bound item a few tries earlier to see if that made any difference, not the current item)

Having the same issue.

I've tried re-logging and re-booting. AH will not allow me to Post Auction (button stays greyed out); I've tried everything I know to get it to work and it wont.

Since I expect the majority of the release notes to be something resembling comic (as in humor, not spandex) fiction, I really don't think it matters.

While I empathize with overworked developers, at the same time my expectations of Turbine has been in something of a free fall (think plumetting elevator), particularly lately.

Still can't post. I would agree about the free-fall of faith. Still no announcement that this is something that should be happening or how long it will be unavailable.

I'm glad I'm working tomorrow and don't have to sit around and wait for the game to come back up. I have zero faith that the update is going to go in on time, or if it does, it will have to be patched or taken back down to fix some kind of problem. It seems certain.

I can only hope they have it all fixed by 5pm EST.

I often give Turbine a pass when things go bad. It's a complex system. The people who do the work have to answer to those above them, etc. I don't expect perfection and this game is far from that. It's still a good game.

But is anybody buying that this was planned? How does this get brought up?

"We are going to disable a somewhat major function in the game. We are not going to announce it. We don't mind that GMs may be inundated with help requests. We don't think that given the recent DAYS of downtime that apparently brought no new conveniences to the players that anyone will think this is a big deal."

Screw ups are expected. Man up. people will respect you for it. This sounds like pure BS. That's what breeds contempt.

with the addition of augment crystals there will be a new category in the AH - aptly named augment crystals. There are a couple other changes to the layout as well.

Still - would have been nice if Turbine would have told us that new posting was temporarily disabled.
