So, why are the Argo forums so boring nowadays?

Recently, have seen a lot of players who haven't played in a long time come back and try to talk to other players who don't play any more either...while the rest of us who still play this game wonder why they are here and who they are talking to besides themselves. It's kind of bizarre.

Heres my take on that particular phenomenon. A lot of us old school since launch players spent a lot of time in game together. Some of us fell out of touch with each other, dropped off the map a bit, and we know that the others still lurk these boards, even if all we do is lurk. When one posts, it gives us all an opportunity to sort of relive times gone by. I can't speak for everyone, but I've been away from the game for so long that it has passed me by entirely, and any desire I might have to play again is offset by the fact that I dont want to spend all my time playing catch up. That and the fact that the other old school players wont be here either kinda contributes to keeping me away. So we use the boards as our game. Anyone that was here for the super long content drought before EU remembers when the forums were much more fun than anything in the game.

I can appreciate this comment. I would just urge you guys to jump back into the game since you guys obviously miss it. On the contrary, it hasn't passed you by. It is more accessible than ever. You can buy your way back up to speed in ways that were never possible before. You don't need 40 TRs as the epic destinies alone can make any first life character powerful enough to keep up. In addition, a huge chunk of the best gear in the game is 'bind on equip' which means old friends can pass you loot and get you semi-uber very quickly.

Anyways ya...there was a good year you couldn't post anything remotely fun/stupid without it getting locked. They've been much more relaxed recently, which I personally appreciate.
