    Default Need .net framework1.1?

    Hello

    Bought a brand new computer today, just for maximizing my ddo experience. It has windows 8 and i have seen that ppl here has made it work. But i cant?

    After i have downloaded game i install it. After instal it want me to instal ,net framework 1.1.

    I go to microsoft page and download but it is error doing so. I cant instal that. On comp i have 4.5 installed and 3.5 and 1.1 isnt supported anymore from microsoft on windows 8.

    So plz plz how do you comp gurus do? Plz be specifik and step by step cause im really bad at this. I just want to kill monsters and see Mountains :-)

    Download it directly from Microsoft and then install it.

    I have done that like 25 times and it just say error i cant instal that on comp?

    It says "An error occured while windows installer was initializing.... some more text"

    It seems that you cant install 1.1 on new windows 8 Machines? Any have any idea how i can go around this? Or just get ddo start up wo it?

    Open the download folder and run as administrator? just a wild guess, I have no experience with win8.

    This is a known error on some installations. This link has step-by-step instructions for getting around the issue. Do not be alarmed that the instructions are for Windows 7 Beta. The procedure will be identical for Windows 8.

    When you execute the result of those instructions, you will get a compatibility warning. You may safely ignore it and install the framework.

    In step 5 i shall open a commandprompt, do you or any other know how i do that? :-)
